OUR COMMISSIONED ARTISTS Liana Moran Liana Moran was born in Edinburgh in 1984. She studied at the Leith School of Art and was awarded The Friends of Leith School of Art Award for a series of paintings entitled Car Parks. She completed her BA Honours in Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art in 2010. Although still at the beginning of her career she has already exhibited at several galleries and was shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2010. Liana s work can be seen in the corridors on the 2 nd and 3 rd floors, and the Breakfast Room. Eoin Carey Based in Edinburgh, Eoin is a performance, editorial and events photographer. His work can be viewed throughout The Glasshouse. Claire Heminsley Claire graduated from Glasgow School of Art having specialised in textiles, and now has a studio in Fife. Rather than being material or technique specific, she utilises an inventive, broad approach to the drawn mark whether made through traditional drawing techniques, or the use of stitch and fabric. The inspiration for her scraperboard collection comes from an interest in the connections and stories within our everyday. Each illustration has been created after a visit to the location to observe the environment, buildings and in particular the people and what they are doing. The Glasshouse commission is the first time that the scraperboard prints have been shown at this scale, and with additional colour. Claire s work can be seen in the the Snug area on the 3 rd floor, and in Reception. Liana s work on the 2nd Floor Claire s work in Reception Eoin s work on the 3rd floor
