Exhaustive Training module for new Patent examiners In continuation with last month's appointment of 9 examiners by the Indian Patent Office, 8 more candidates have now been appointed as examiners. All the selected candidates will undergo the initial training of three months at National Institute for Intellectual Property Management (NIIPM) followed by eight months on the job training at their respective Patent Offices. At the end of this module an advanced training would further await them at NIIPM, Nagpur. http://www.ipindia.nic.in/iponew/patentexam_trg_0january01.htm The exhaustive syllabus for the three months training program aims to cover all aspects of intellectual property and its management in detail. The included theoretical and practical aspects of the course seem well blended and balanced. The various topics are covered under different modules namely Invention and Patentability; Examinations of Patent Applications; Oppositions revocation and appeals; Important proceedings related to patents; Administrative and Service Matters.
