It will help you become familiar with the parts and construction. Tools required: Phillips screwdriver. Wait to dispose of the packing material until assembly is complete and all parts and hardware are accounted for. Sometimes a hardware bag can be tricky to find, though they are usually taped to a part. Two people might be required for assembly. Assembly Tips Find a clean, smooth area on which to work, such as a carpet, in order to avoid scratching the parts. Lay out all parts and hardware on the floor or on a table in the order of their number or letter. This will familiarize you with the parts and also help you find a part easier when you re ready to assemble it. Usually there is a small sticker on the part with the designating letter or number that matches the letter or number in the instructions. If that sticker is missing, look at the drawing in the instruction parts list, and try to recognize the part by its shape or characteristics like holes or grooves. We have provided both text and a drawing in each step, so using both will help the most. Each step assembles only a few parts, so just take it one step at a time. Step 6: Hold the unit against the wall in the desired position. We recommend the height of the top be about 66 off the floor. If possible, it is recommended to have at least one of the Brackets attached directly into a stud. Make marks on the wall at the corners of the unit. Hold a straight edge on the wall, with two Brackets (6) on the straight edge they should be the same distance as the Brackets on the unit. Have a helper use a pencil to mark the wall at the position of the Bracket holes. Make holes in the wall at the marks. The holes should be slightly smaller than the Wall Anchors (8). Insert the Wall Anchors (8) into the holes. Use four Long Screws () to attach two Brackets to the wall, making sure the screws go into the Wall Anchors. NOTE: Make sure the channel of the Brackets on the wall is at the bottom (see detail below). They should be upside-down from the pre-attached Brackets on the back of the unit. Hang the unit from the Brackets on the wall. 8 6 Channel at the bottom 4 6 8 4 Bracket on the unit Channel on top Two Brackets shown locked together Bracket mounted on the wall Channel on bottom Step 7: To use, pull the Rack straight forward, making sure the back lower back bar stops in the notch of the L- Blocks (E).
