FIRST NATIONS UNIVERSITY OF CANADA 37 th ANNUAL SPRING CELEBRATION POW-WOW The First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) was established in 1976 by legislation of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations (FSIN) and through a federated partnership with the University of Regina. FNUniv offers unique programs, services and classes to Indigenous and non-indigenous people in Saskatchewan and beyond. The University s programs and services are offered on three campuses: Prince Albert (Northern Campus), Regina, and Saskatoon, in addition to various communities across Saskatchewan. FNUniv offers undergraduate degrees within an environment of First Nations culture and history combining First Nations-oriented and standard areas of study in all programs. FNUniv s annual spring celebration pow-wow is the first of the season and is considered by many as the official kick-off to the annual pow-wow season. It is a celebration of spring and a sharing of First Nations culture that adds to the diversity and cultural mosaic of Regina through song, dance, ceremony and craft. Along with being a significant tourist draw, the FNUniv pow-wow is one of the largest events of its kind attracting 7,000 visitors and upwards of 600 dancers and singers from across Canada and the United States; it also includes an tradeshow, traditional food, and community-driven programming. The FNUniv spring celebration kicks off the pow-wow season and is eagerly anticipated by dancers, singers and spectators alike. LEVELS OF RECOGNITION Website Your corporate name (and possibly your corporate logo) will be prominently displayed on our website until March 31, 2016. The website can be found at http://www.fnuniv.ca/pow-wow/pow-wowsponsorship Newspaper You A corporate Thank You advertisement will be placed in the next edition of Eagle Feather News following the pow-wow Banner A Thank You banner will be prominently displayed at the event (Brandt Center) on the side of announcer s platform for the duration of the Pow wow (logo and font according to sponsorship level). FNUniv will distribute a minimum of 300 copies of the Pow-wow Program (15-25 pages) free of charge to the general public in attendance at the event. All corporate sponsors will be recognized in the Pow-wow Program. Thunderbird & Eagle sponsors will be provided FREE advertising space in the Pow-wow Program size of advertisement space varies by sponsorship level Letter All sponsors will receive a thank you letter of from the University President Volunteers All corporate and individual sponsors will be given the opportunity to provide in-kind volunteers from their organizations to assist with the Pow-wow. All corporate and individual volunteers will be recognized on the University s web-page. Passes All sponsors will receive weekend passes to the event. The passes cover door entry and parking. The number of passes varies according to sponsorship level Public Announcements Corporate sponsors will receive public recognition and thank you throughout the event from the powwow emcee. The public recognition will be delivered over the public address system the number of announcements varies by sponsorship level Corporate Banner Thunderbird & Eagle sponsors are eligible to have their corporate banners (or signage) prominently displayed at the event (Brandt Center). Banners maybe dropped off and picked up at FNUniv Poster The Pow-wow Poster will be distributed widely throughout Saskatchewan. The poster will be prominently displayed on our website as well as used in our social media promotional campaign. Thunderbird and Eagle sponsors will have their corporate logos on the poster. Deadline: March 13, 2015 Trade Show Thunderbird and Eagle sponsors contributing $10,000 or more will be provided a FREE tradeshow display booth at the event (10 x 2 ½ table and two chairs) Grand Entry Participation and Recognition Thunderbird sponsors will be invited to participate in any or all of the four Grand Entries. Grand entries are at 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Announcers will give individual and corporate recognition at this time Dancer Registration Card Thunderbird sponsors will have their corporate logo on every dancer registration numbers.
