Dear Parents, Summer Break is a welcome change for everyone which provides a retreat from daily routine. It is also a great opportunity to explore and enrich our young children s mind with new experiences and knowledge. Few tips to make the vacation a fruitful time for your child. Explore nature:- Take your child for a morning walk and count trees cars flowers while going for a walk. Encourage your child to take up yoga or any other form of health activity during the vacation. Drink lots of water & juices to tide over the scratching heat. Pratice daily for better handwriting. Stress on English conversation. A friend:- Play games with your child carromboard, ludo.. Inculcate responsibilities:- They can do activities like laying the table, filling the water bottles, watering the plants, cleaning their rooms and cupboards. Make a handmade folder & bag. Bring holiday homework in it. Write your name & class on it. This H.W. is awarded marks on the basis of 1) neatness 2) Handwriting 3) creativity 4) punctuality of submission. These marks awarded are added in the report card. Note:- Do the written homework of all subjects in 3 in 1 copy. Attach all the drawing sheets of English, Hindi, Maths and EVS in one file.
English A. To improve learning and reading skills:- 1. Read one page aloud daily. (L- 1,2,3,4) 2. Read story no-1 and 2 from your story book. 3. Learn 5 poems from your poetry book (with action) 4. Read newspaper daily. B. To improve learning and writing skills:- 1. Grammar:- Learn & Write page no. 45 to 50. 2. Literature:- (L 2,3 and 4) a) Take dictation twice a week. b) Pick 20 difficult words from the lessons and make sentences. c) Do one page handwriting twice a week. d) Learn & write 2 short stories (10-12 lines) (In H.W copy) CHART:- 1. Make a chart of noun and its kinds. 2. Write any one story on chart and draw pictures also. PROJECT WORK:- 1. Draw our National flower and write lines on it. 2. Take information from internet about different types of flies and paste their pictures and write 3-3 lines on it.
Maths NOTE:- Maintain a (3 in 1) notebook for holidays HW. Do 10 addition and 10 subtraction sums daily. Do foreward counting 101 to 200 (twice) in notebook Write and learn tables 2 to 7. (five times) Oridal numbers (1 to 10) PROJECT WORK 1. Make a abacus. (Using material- Ice- Cream sticks, buttons, bindies, beads, string, fevicol) CHART WORK Draw a chart of odd/even numbers. Make a wall hanging of ordinal numbers. (using materialcardboard, string or thread, cut out of numbers, fevicol, origammy sheets)
E.V.S. 1. Communicate with your family and friends in English. 2. Devote atleast 15 minutes in reading newspaper daily. 3. Learn & write L-3 and 4 in 3 in 1 note book. 4. Read lesson- 5,6,7 and learn and write difficult words in 3 in 1 note book. 5. Art and Craft G.K 1. Draw any two cartoon character/ scenery on drawing sheets. 2. Make anything using waste material like hut, wall hanging and pen holder. 3. Do page no. 7,9,11,12,13,20 in smart Art Book. Do page no. 9 to 15 in book.
