The vertical articulated arm design of MOVEMASTtR robots gives them excellent position access capa bilities. Mitsubishi offers two basic robot types for the European market a S-axis version and a 6-axis version. Each is designed for different flexibility and o manoeuvrability requirements. The 6-axis version has an additional degree of freedom making it even more versatile than the S-axis model. Six axes make it possible to position components in virtually any desired orientation within the robot's entire work envelope. Powerful Programming Software Our programming software enables you to develop powerful robot programs quickly and easily on a standard PC under either 005 or Windows. The robot programming package is complemented by tailor-made offline simulation software with which you can simulate the entire robot control program in 3D on the computer screen complete with all position data. This enables you to test and debug your programs exhaustively without a robot connected to the system. The latest generation of MOVEMASTER robots sets new standards. enabling optimum utilisation of your production capacity and eliminating the need to design complex handling equipment for every task. The robots arm handles t he manipulation tasksand the Drive Unit provides the -intelligence- for organising the work. Up to 31 independent robot programs can be stored in the Drive Unit's memory and accessed at will. 2

This means you can minimise the space required for the robot's work envelope leaving the remaining area free for your other system peripherals. MOVEMASTER will also work reliably around the clock. which is a huge benefit in the many applications that have to run seven days a week without interruption. Easy maintenance was a top design priority. These robots feature maintenance-free AC servo motors absolute position encoders and harmonic drive transmissions all of which help to make most maintenance tasks very quick and simple so that the robot is up and running again in no time. Applications To reconfigure MQVEMASTER robots you just need to change the program and moving them to new locations is just as easy. This great flexibility makes them ideal for a huge range of applications involving frequently-changing handling tasks. MOVEMASTER RV-E2 and RV-E3J Compact Flexible and Dynamic The robots of the RV-E series have a lifting capacity of 3 kg (S-axis version) and 2 kg (6-axis version). They are powered by maintenancefree AC servo motors with absolute position encoders which means they are ready for work immediately as soon as the power is switched on. Another big advantage of the RV-E robots is their spherical work envelope which enables them to make optimum use of small areas and production cells. These robots are not

For example you can upgrade the robot controller with up to two additional axis control cards which can be used to control the linear axis when the robot is in stalled on a linear travel unit to extend its work area. You can install up to four 2-wire sensors on the robot's lower arm for additional functionality - for example to trigger robot movement interruptions. You can control up to two pneumatic grippers directly via the internallyrouted valves and hoses. You can connect a video camera with an image recognition system. MOVEMASTER RV-EN Greater Power and Manoeuvrability The robots of the RV-EN series have exactly the same basic design as the RV-E series but with significantly more power. Just like their RV-E siblings the RV-EN robots are available in both 5-axis and 6-axis versions. However all the axes of the RV-EN models are fitted with more powerful motors and brakes for increased payload capacity - up to 5 kg in the 5-axis version and 4 kg in the 6-axis version.
