Jean-Marc Suter CEO designate, Private Investment Office Short biography of the candidate, including previous eperience in a similar role: I am a veteran Swiss Banker eecutive with a proven track record of success within Private Banking with more than 25 years of international eperience acquired in Geneva, New York, London and Abu Dhabi. In Abu Dhabi since 2004, I held various senior positions with prime institutions such as Credit Suisse, UBS and more recently Gonet banque. I am currently setting up a private investment office for a family. I have been President of the Swiss Business Council since 2005 when I was requested by His Ecellency late Ambassador Peter Vogler to run for President and revive a moribund SBC Abu Dhabi. Today, the Swiss Business Council in Abu Dhabi is recognized by its peers and also by the UAE and Swiss authorities as one of the most active Councils in Abu Dhabi and as a relevant actor in the Swiss-UAE bilateral relations. This recognition is the testimony of our success under my leadership. If elected, what added value will you bring to the role of President of the SBC Abu Dhabi: If re-elected, I will continue to build upon what has been achieved so far. With the help of my colleagues from the Eecutive Committee, we shall also develop new ideas to further strengthen the reputation of the SBC and increase its value for its members and the Swiss business community in Abu Dhabi as a whole. Maïssa Fattal CEO, Ibtisama Short biography of the candidate, including previous eperience in a similar role: I m a Swiss citizen, born in Geneva, grown up and worked in this county before choosing UAE as a home country. With a master in Laws and admission to the bar, I practiced my profession of lawyer with care skills in litigation, civil, commercial and international arbitration. Having been the appointed lawyer of National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) in Geneva for many years, I have discovered Abu Dhabi and its delights, where I decided to live since 6 years ago. I created Ibtisama Group ME that I run on a daily base in the UAE. With 4 shops, 2 offices in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and a distribution channels and partners around UAE and the Middle East, the growth is eponential and fulfilling although the obstacles are many, which is what makes the journey more fascinating and challenging. My company and myself are Award winners (mentioned in LinkedIn). Last but not least, I am a member of the Advisory Board of the SBC for 5 years and I was appointed Ambassador of the International Women Business Group in Abu Dhabi for my achievements (honorific title). If elected, what added value will you bring to the role of President of the SBC Abu Dhabi: As a Swiss lawyer, with many years of eperience in the bar back in Geneva, my background will benefit the functions of the Swiss Business Council and will provide full tools to reach its missions of growth and credibility. Having a current position of CEO in UAE at Ibtisama Group ME, the business in all its aspects, from creation, contacts with local authorities, everyday management and growth in the Middle East, has no secret for me. Being also native Arabic, on top of speaking the 3 languages of Switzerland, is without doubt an asset for the SBC when it is about representations in eternal relations. My profile and achievements have been recognized by the local community as I have been appointed Ambassador of the well-known International Business Group in Abu Dhabi and my company has been congratulated with many distinctive Awards, locally.
