Our next meeting is Tuesday, December 8th at 6:00 pm. To send email to whole guild: mothertownquilters@googlegroups.com NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT DEBBY FINK Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The guild is delighted have a new secretary - Linda Leroux-Griffin - thank you for volunteering! We still have a few openings for volunteers this year - co-chairs for Programs, Outreach and the Bolton Fair. For the guild to continue with our wonderful programs and activities we need to do a bit of fund raising. We are asking members to donate any unwanted/excess sewing/quilting supplies and for each member to donate a yard (or equivalent) of summer or ocean themed fabric to make charm packs. A donation box will be available at the membership table. Looking forward to the gift exchange and lots of yummy food at the pot luck. If you d like to participate in the gift exchange please bring a wrapped quilting related gift (less than $15 value). We will still have show and tell and UFO #1 is due.

FABRIC SWAP TRACY LEBLANC There are 8 participants in the 10 square fabric swap this year. The theme is Holidays. Please bring 7 squares of December s Christmas/Hanukkah/New Year s fabric to the meeting. I will bring more kits and backing to the meeting and will also collect the finished fidget quilts as they come in. I would love to get as many as I can so I can deliver them to the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton soon. Thank you. Any questions, please contact Susan Birse. Thank you. MYSTERY QUILT AND BLOCK OF THE MONTH VERONICA ROSE This is seriously getting exciting now! Have you seen the different blocks everyone is making?! You are all truly amazing quilters. I can t wait to the see the finished products. Please bring your completed Part C blocks to display on the table with next month s installment. Part D will be available online and at the meeting on the 8th. I will also be at the next open sew if you need help, just drop on in. OPEN SEW The next Open Sew is Sunday, December 13th at the Lancaster location the Village Seventh Day Adventist Church on 75 Sawyer St at the corner of Sawyer and Prescott. At this open sew, you will also have a chance to create a fabric bowl, a 10 minute table runner, an origami fabric box and a microwave bowl potholder.

PROGRAMS JANICE BOUTOTTE AND BONNIE BRODERS The December meeting will be a potluck dinner starting promptly at 6PM. If you have not signed up for a dish to bring, please email our hostess, Cindy Jobin. There will be a gift swap as well, so if you would like to participate, bring a wrapped sewing related gift ($15.00 or less) to the meeting and drop it off at the program table with Janice and Bonnie. For January: January's guild meeting will be a talk and demonstration on English Paper Piecing by member Allison Rainville, an all guild member trunk show and a paper piecing (hand sewing using hexies etc. workshop. We would like to see any examples of paper piecing using this hand piecing method, old or new, partially finished or completed to make up a guild wide trunk show! So as you all go through your quilting and quilts, pull out any paper piecing and set it aside to bring to the January meeting. Paper piecing by machine will be presented in February by member Janice Boutotte and will also include a guild wide trunk show of machine paper piecing. So start pulling those examples too! RETREATS DIANE CHAREST The next retreat is coming in April, 2016 - stay tuned for more information! RAFFLE CHRISTA NEE AND BARBARA PERILLI This month's raffle will be a lovely medley of Japanese themed fabrics. Something different to try for the new year. Come take a chance and win an early Christmas present for yourself! REFRESHMENTS CINDY JOBIN Please remember to bring your item for the pot luck dinner starting at 6pm. We have members who for either medical or religious reasons do not eat some foods, for example vegetarians, those with lactose intolerance, nut and shellfish allergies requiring an epi pen etc. Thank you all in advance for your cooperation.
