How it Works What is the Time Credits: Rewards for Involvement Scheme? It is a scheme to reward you for your involvement with Tai Tarian. Time Credits are earned based on the time you volunteer with Tai Tarian and can be exchanged for a range of activities in your community. The scheme was designed by a group of tenants and is managed by the Tai Tarian Tenant Empowerment Team. How Does it Work? Volunteer with the Tenant Empowerment Team at Tai Tarian You will receive one time credit for each hour you volunteer Use your Time Credits on Exchange Opportunities Save up your Time Credits through your volunteering Exchange Opportunities are provided by local organisations, businesses and community groups in the borough where you can exchange your Time Credits. Examples of Exchange Opportunities can be found in this booklet.

How Can Time Credits be Earned? A list of events, meetings and activities are advertised on our website www.taitarian.co.uk You can get involved with as many or as few volunteering opportunities as you wish. Look out for the Time Credits stamps *Please note, the Rewards for Involvement scheme will not impact on benefit claims. If you experience any problems, please contact us on 01639 508455

How Do I Exchange My Vouchers? The following pages give you all the information you need know about how and where you can spend your Time Credits. Each activity/experience costs a certain amount of Time Credits. When you have saved enough Time Credits for the reward you would like to have, you are ready to exchange. All you need to do is visit the venue with your vouchers. The staff there will know all about the Time Credits scheme and will be ready to exchange your Time Credit vouchers.

Fitness Celtic Leisure If you are 60 or over, you can already access a number of facilities at Celtic Leisure for free, so you may like to speak to the receptionist before exchanging your Time Credit! Please note, individuals wishing to use the gym must complete a gym induction beforehand. You may be unable to exchange your Time Credits during peak times, or if there are private hire events taking place. 1 hour gym, swim sessions or fitness class at various centres (See next page for contact details) 1 hour health suite session at Neath Leisure Centre Please note Health suite sessions include sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi.

Leisure NPT Homes arrange trips for our Haven Housing tenants and tenants over the age of 55 living in the community several times a year. We have previously organised a summer trip to Tenby and a shopping trip to Carmarthen. We will be arranging more trips in 2017 and you can use your credits to pay for community Community Transport Contribution Time Credits Trips Tai Tarian will be arranging trips in 2017 to some of our partners in this leaflet, for example a trip to the cinema or a trip to an open day at one of the leisure centres. Community Groups The Together Crafty Group This crafts group in Pontardawe was formed by an NPT Homes tenant. The group meet every Wednesday between 1pm 4pm. Members who attend do their own crafts or learn a new skill. All levels are welcome, starter materials, demonstrations and members are on hand to help you. Hot drinks and biscuits are also included. Cilybebyll Gardening Club This Gardening Club in Pontardawe was formed an by an NPT Homes tenant. The group meet every second Thursday of the month between 7pm 9pm. If you re interested in gardening, this club offers seed and plant swaps, guest speakers, organised trips and idea sharing etc. Hot drinks and cakes are provided.
