BIOGRAPHY OF THE PAINTER: DANYGIL Today, Danygil has more than 130 paintings in her artwork catalogue. Born in 1962, in the city of Oran, in the then French Algeria, Danygil hails from a family of artists (dancers, singers, musicians, painters ). Her father, Pierre Gil, had a passion for painting and had always regretted that her parents prevented him from fulfilling her dream: studying at the notorious "Beaux Arts" School. After the exodus of the "Pieds-noirs" people, from Algeria to the "Unknown Land", France, and Pierre Gil became a national resident and lived his passion in his spare Time. He died in 2002 and has transmitted his talent to his daughter, Danygil. She used to paint as a teenager until the age of 15. In 2010, 33 years later, her desire to paint again suddenly came back. Now the time for nostalgia has come and Danygil has started a new series of paintings about The Maghreb region. Nostalgic, because she was born in Algeria, a country she was forced to leave when she was only a baby The memories of the 12 years she lived in Morocco, land of blessings in her life, where her twin daughters were born, give her the inspiration to express this nostalgia and her passion for the Arab world and culture through her artworks. The sale of these paintings will finance a project of tourism, economic, social and environmental development with the creation of both local and international jobs in Morocco. 3

Presentation of HAJJA The "Hajja" is a one-of-a-kind pictorial work, admired due to it s elegance and its refinement. The author has applied the acme of accuracy, dexterity and keenness in making this painting where the subject painted aspires the pursuit of perfection. The painter, Danygil has called up all her expertise and focused high attention to this canvas which is the major work of her catalogue. This painting gives us a portrait of extraordinary beauty. The face of the hajja, her eyes, her hands and the fabrics are detailed with preciseness and subjugating realism. The artist was inspired by a meeting with this "beautiful" person who embodies a grandmother who could be everyone s: hers, yours. She is a woman of all-wisdom that we respect and appreciate because of the knowledge she passes down to us. This impressionist canvas is characterized by a strong spiritual dimension. Thus, more than an aesthetic work, the "Hajja" is an art object spreading a great spirituality. With a symbolic power, it brings luck, serenity and prosperity in the place where it is displayed. It reserves the exclusive right of its supreme power to the owner(s) of where it is exhibited. In addition, it is a very communicative painting which arouses particular emotions on its viewers that lead them to serenity, well-being, peace and other positive frames of mind. It emerges kindness, quiescence and peacefulness from the hajja painted. It comes from her a strong energy and pleasant warmth felt by the public. The "Hajja" is an exceptional artwork that meets the requirement of Qatar in art. The artist Danygil demonstrates through her work her perfect knowledge of Arab culture. From the beginning of its design, this painting was achieved by addressing to a public receptive to the power of art. It is a contemporary work of art that seeks to provide excellence to the public who demands the best. 6
