JEFF'S JAM The Acoustic Music Jam is ongoing almost every 2nd & 4th Friday night at 8PM of each month at the Lord of Glory Church in Grayslake (on Rt. 120 between Allegheny and Hainesville Roads). THE LAKE COUNTY FOLK CLUB The folk club holds its music events at El Barrio Restaurant & Lounge, 1122 Diamond Lake Road, Mundelein, Illinois. On Sunday, December 17th is LEE MURDOCK (and his Christmas Ship Concert) on the Concert Stage with "JAZZMAN" JEFF JUSTMAN as the Opening Act. No events on Sunday, December 24th and 31st. MILWAUKEE AREA BLUEGRASS MUSIC ASSOCIATION (MABMA) MABMA promotes listening to and playing bluegrass music in the greater Milwaukee/southeastern Wisconsin area. STAINED GLASS COFFEE HOUSE The Stained Glass Coffee House at the Congregational Church, 225 Wilmot Road, Deerfield, Illinois is a great new Lake County venue for folk and acoustic music concert fans. BEANS & LEAVES COFFEE & TEA CAFE A wonderful coffee cafe in historic downtown Long Grove that celebrates music. On the 2nd Friday of each month from 6PM to 9PM is an Open Mic. RHYTHM COMMUNITY The Rhythm Community is an outlet in Lake County for group music. In addition to drum circles and other rhythm events, RC organizes Irish and Celtic music groups. They are looking for musicians who want to teach, learn or just have fun with traditional rhythm instruments and music. Back by popular demand, the Rhythm Academy has resumed Wednesday drum classes. The Stage Left Cafe is a great music oriented venue and cafe housed in Woodstock, Illinois at the Woodstock Opera House Annex at 125 Van Buren Street in Woodstock's downtown square.
