Create jewelry from polished beach stones collect your own, or choose from ours! 2. Scallop shell Christmas ornaments in the likeness of angles or Santa, or just decorated with ribbons and glitter. 3. Glittery pinecones or pinecone penguins. Star Gazing: Join us on the back lawn after dusk to spot stars and constellations using lasers and s. s: Our Naturalist will lead you along the beach, pointing out and discussing highlights. Meet in the Inn lobby. Birding Walk on Weekapaug Roads: This is a leisurely walk of less than a mile, which allows you to take in our salt marsh and quiet upland terrain. Meet in the Inn lobby. Birding by Van: Utilizing the Inn van we will visit locations where we will likely spot seasonal birds through our spotting scope. Walk to Weekapaug Overlook: A quick walk to the overlook at Weekapaug Point, where we use our spotting scope to survey Block Island, Montauk Point, Watch and Fisher s Island. Meet in lobby. Guided Kayak Paddle: Join us for our Local Knowledge tour of the pond. Up to ten paddlers will be escorted on an excursion through the most scenic parts of the pond and be shown interesting sights along the way. First come basis. Boathouse. Naturalist s : Join our naturalist on an hour-long walk down the barrier beach. He will point out wildlife, interesting plants and landmarks. The beach is beautiful and great for walking throughout the year. Friday Evening Guest Reception: Please join Innkeeper Simon and Naturalist Mark while enjoying a complementary glass of wine and tasty cheeses. Grab a cocktail and join Captain Mark for a 50-minute overview of the big storms, with before and after pictures. Van Tour to Watch : Our outing to Watch makes for a perfect little interlude in a chilly day. In just over an hour we take a delightful scenic drive around the historic village and down to the stunning lighthouse. Capt. Mark discusses the history of the area and points out areas of interest. Van Tour of s: The off-season allows us to poke around neighborhoods and beaches that are harder to access during the summer. In 50-minutes or so we explore various points of interest around our area.
