OUR HOUSE DESIGNS, INC. LEATHER DESCRIPTIONS (revised 6-30-2016) Please note that alphabetical letters A, N or P follows each pattern number. This specifies if the leather is an Aniline, Nubuck or Protected leather. Please refer to the back page to get more details on the cleaning and general characteristics of your leather. Pattern 301D 301D-81 Burnt Brown This embossed leather gives you a striking medallion pattern with which to work on that special piece. These hides are mostly finished by hand, to give them a multi-tonal effect and coloration. Due to the handcrafted characteristics of this product, colors and patterns will vary from hide to hide. Pattern 302A 302A-51 Cherry This beautiful leather with a natural grain and pull up effect creates an authentic aged look. These hides get their pull up effect from oils and waxes that are applied during the finishing process. When the leather is stretched the oils and waxes are displaced, causing the stretched area to become lighter in color. This pull up effect gives the leather a naturally aged look. Nature s markings such as healed scars, neck and belly wrinkles will be evident and should be considered as part of the natural beauty of a genuine leather product. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from exposure to heating vents as drying or fading could occur. Pattern 305A 305A-81 Brown This is a seductively cream hide with a lovely light, pull-up effect, that up effect, that will appeal to all of your senses. Natural oils and waxes are applied to provide luster and velvet like hand. Vacuum dried for a firm finish and added texture. Natural visible markings such as healed scars, insect bites and other signatures of nature are characteristics of these hides. As with any aniline leather, do not expose to direct sunlight, as fading can occur. Pattern 307A 307A-81 Paris Paris is a full grain leather that has a slight pull-up effect and a very soft hand. This leather is aniline dyed and has oils and waxes in the finish, which give it the soft hand and pull-up effect. Paris is a natural, full grain leather that has some of nature s markings such as healed scars and neck belly wrinkles. Even though the waxes in the finish provide some protection, care should be taken to keep this leather out of direct sunlight and away from direct exposure to heating vents as drying or fading could occur. To clean, simply use a damp cloth. Never use a soap more harsh

than Woolite or Castile. For heavier cleaning, use professional upholster products only. Pattern 308A 308A-81 Oak This is a beautiful top grain leather with a natural grain and a dry pull-up effect that creates a beautiful aged look. This leather gets its pull-up effect from waxes that are applied to the surface during the finishing process. When the leather is stretched, the waxes are displaced, causing the stretched area to become lighter in color. This pull-up effect gives the leather a naturally aged look. Natural range marks, healed scars and color variations are not defects but add to the authenticity of the leather. Pattern 309H 309H-11 Florence This unique hair on hide has a printed floral design that reminds us of the rose of Texas. Produced on hides with exquisite hair and natural markings, these hides are chosen and specially tanned over several days to preserve the natural hair of the animal. After tanning, the hides are cropped by hand to level the hair length. Please note as no two individuals have the exact color of hair, each will be different. This is for the person who desires the unique one of a kind piece. Please consult a professional dry cleaner before applying any cleaning solution. We suggest feather dusting only. Pattern 310H 310H-11 Gin Tonic Hair on Hides have vintage appearance that exhibits the allure of genuine cattle. Color variations within the hide are a part of the natural beauty of this leather. Cow hides differ in color, shade, hair length and overall appearance. Natural features that assure individuality, uniquely enhance every hide. Much as a thumbprint, these features give each hide a unique character and appearance. The hallmarks of nature-color variations, brands and other natural range markings-are authentic characteristics found only in the best hides. Hair on Hides are natural and, if properly cared for, will maintain their beauty and usefulness for many years. Periodic vacuuming with a soft brush attachment is recommended for normal maintenance. For deeper cleaning, use a small amount of mild soap heavily diluted with distilled water. Blot spills using a clean white cloth. Never use any commercial household cleaner as they may contain harsh chemicals. Pattern 313A 313A-71 Cactus Rustico is a pull-up type leather with a wax finish for added protection. Pull up refers to the way the leather changes color when it is pulled or stretched during upholstering. Scratches on the surface of the leather also cause discoloration, another characteristic of pull up leathers. This is a very natural product, therefore neck wrinkles and healed scars are an indelible stamp of this type of genuine leather.

Pattern 319A 319A-81 Ancient This leather features a 19 th century, aged wood effect that is showcased in a modern color. The crackle effect is preserved in the finish of the leather yet allows some color pull to increase the overall effect. Color is produced with pigment and wax to create a more color-consistent product. Ancient is a unique leather because it looks like an aniline pullup, but is actually a semi-aniline leather. Pattern 321R 321R-61 Elephant Inspired by the look of antique furnishings, each hide is individually hand crafted to achieve the ultimate traditional leather. Like a perfectly toasted piece of bakery rye, these shades are very natural, warm and inviting. Because of the hand rubbing, extreme variations should be expected on every piece of furniture. Dramatic shade variations can be found within each hide, adding a natural worn appearance. Keep out of sunlight and away from exposure to heating vents as drying could occur. Pattern 322A 322A-51 Spanish Tile This gorgeous aniline offers a more traditional appeal, featuring a rich mix of color that will provide warmth to every application. Hides are aniline dyed and given a slightly crackled effect to enhance the look and rich base color. The saturation of oil and wax gives it the great waxy hand and allows it to have a rich color burst. Every hide will have an individual personality with the evident touches of Mother Nature. Pattern 323A 323A-81 Acorn This leather is visually stunning, featuring elegant appeal with it s distinctive two-tone effect. Soft, supple and easily manageable add to the dynamic of this strikingly elegant leather. The two-tone coloration is very similar to a hand wiped look, giving each hide a unique antiqued effect. Pattern 324D 324D-31 Cowboy Blue This novelty leather features a unique floral embossed pattern. This 324D-81 Tooled finish is applied in multiple layers and tones by hand, to provide a distinctive coloration. The finish is burnished to give a depth and sheen reminiscent of a glazed leather while maintaining a soft and pliable hand. Cowboy Blue is a very sophisticated leather for upholstery applications, along with excellent durability and surface protection. Avoid prolonged sunlight, as fading will occur.

Pattern 325A 325A-81 Caramel Caramel exhibits all the characteristics of an exceptional, natural leather. Featuring a luxuriously soft, supple hand and a naturally milled grain, it will bring subtle luxury to a variety of frames from traditional to modern. With wear and use, it will develop a rich patina that will only enhance the look and feel of this beautiful and versatile leather. Pattern 326H 326H-81 Ponderosa These brown and white cowhides are hard to find hides from South America. These are professionally cut and cured leather hides that are often displayed as a rug or accent upholstery application. No two cowhides are alike and each hide will be different and unique. Light shading variances are to be expected between hides. Vacuum for routine cleaning and spot clean with distilled water. Pattern 327P 327P-11 Winter The future of leather begins with the soft silky hand and mild two-tones 327P-21 Butter that identify the characteristics of this protected leather, finished in Italy. 327P-71 Sea This leather provides a fresh outlook on color with an urban beach vibe. 327P-72 Apple Martini Visually, the features of this leather are those only associated with the more expensive products in the market today. The soft drape exemplifies the quality and value of this article. The color pallet is functional for both traditional and transitional settings. Natural range marks, fat wrinkles and healed scars are not to be considered defects, but proof of authenticity. Pattern 328A 328A-21 Harvest Wheat Harvest Wheat is a top grain leather that has a medium protective finish. This leather has a unique wax applied directly into the finish to produce a buttery drag. The effect will crackle and soften more as it is worked with by the master furniture maker. Time and wear allows this leather furniture to become an heirloom and timeless treasure. Pattern 329D 329D-81 Aged Gator Aged Gator is cow hide leather that is aniline drum-dyed. These hides are then embossed with a crocodile pattern. The embossed hide is then hand wiped to create a vast array of colors and hues. This effect offers a visual appearance of movement on the scale surface and the various colors blend with many settings.

Pattern 330N 330N-81 Tundra Tundra hides are aniline dyed to create a rich saturation of color which is accentuated with hand sanding by skilled artisans to distress the leather producing an aged, old world effect by highlighting all of nature's markings. Extensive tumbling produces an exquisitely soft hand with remarkable drape ability. Pattern 332N 332N-11 Taupe These hides are aniline dyed and then hand antiqued, to create a rich saturation of color with a multi-tone effect. Next, hand sanding is performed to distress the hides, producing an aged, old world effect by highlighting all the natural markings. Then finally, extensive tumbling produces an exquisitely soft hand with remarkable drape ability. Pattern 333N 333N-11 Storm Cloud Designed in India, this nubuck leather offers synergy between tradition and innovation and exudes great depth and character. A combination chrome and vegetable tannage imparts this leather with a luxurious, full bodied hand and worn-in matte finish. When upholstered, it offers beautiful transparency of color to bring elegant simplicity to any frame. Pattern X334 X334A-81 Flea Market Flea Market is a very natural leather that first gets sprayed with several contrasting aniline dye colors and then fused with natural oils and resins. After being sprayed with several more colors to create a cloud effect, the hides are sealed with a high-sheen lacquer. After being milled for almost 24 hours, the hides are hand sanded to create an aged effect before getting hand rubbed to accentuate the natural hallmarks. Pattern 337P 337P-22 Terra Cotta All the way from Italy, Terra Cotta is a very unique, supple leather with a soft silky hand and luscious drape. This leather will bring flare to any piece of furniture. Natural range marks, fat wrinkles and healed scars are to be expected in this leather. Pattern 338A 338A-81 Lumber Jack These hides are smooth and supple to the touch. This leather is tanned and dyed before being vacuum-dried, being infused with special waxes, and finally adding a high-sheen top coat to protect against stains and spills. With a slightly crinkled appearance and a wax pull-up effect that results in a fashionable worn look, Lumber Jack will work well with any nail head or exposed wood trim, as it is a chic leather, with a dramatically beautiful glow.

Pattern 339D 339D-81 Metallic Croco Metallic Croco hides offer a new fresh color to the world of reptile skins. As with all of our novelty leathers, these are cowhides that are embossed to look like reptiles. These hides are great to use with many of our decorative finishes in combinations with solid leathers or fabrics. Due to the metallic hand rubbing, color variations are to be expected of these hides. Pattern 341A 341A-11 Dusk This leather is a subtle "pearlized" article that evokes a simultaneous hint 341A-61 Smoke of classic and contemporary elegance. The color line features a vibrant color 341A-81 Copper mix with a true soft metal flavor. They are produced on European raw material and will provide an excellent yield allowing for large cut panels. These hides are drum-dyed and should not be exposed to intense heat sources or prolonged sunlight. Pattern 342 342-41 Zebra Hair on Hides are produced on selected Brazilian raw material chosen specifically with the end results in mind. Hides with exquisite hair and natural markings are chosen and specially tanned over several days to preserve the natural hair of the animal. Following tanning, the hides are cropped by hand to level the hair length and exemplify the natural markings and beauty of each pelt. Special prints, such as Zebra and Leopard designs, are hand printed on select hides. A lengthy process of applying, curing and finishing ensures full penetration of the printed color and combines the natural beauty of the special pelt with that of the exotic creature, which it resembles. They are a warm and welcome accent to incorporate nature s intrinsic beauty in every application. However this is a very natural product therefore healed scars and marks of nature will show. Please Note As No Two Individuals Have Exact Color Of Hair, Each Will Be Different. This is for the individual person who desires, the unique, one of a kind piece. Please consult a professional dry cleaner before applying any cleaning solutions. We suggest feather dusting only. Pattern 346D 346D-11 Bleached Croco This pattern is used to accent many of today's home interiors. The leather hide is first embossed with a large crocodile grain and then colored by applying two base color coats of micro pigments. The leather is then "wiped off" to give it a contrast of colors that are "wiped on" by hand to give the leather a beautiful antique look. The last step is to slightly protect the hand work of the Bleached Croco with a thin topcoat that provides great depth and warmth to the finished product.

Pattern 357A 357A-61 Rhino This unique new leather gives you a wonderful antique look. Once the 357A-81 Terra hides are aniline dyed, they are then vacuum-dried to give it a smooth grain. The hides are then hand rubbed with more aniline dyes, and then hand buffed and burnished to give you the antiqued effect. Keep out of light, as fading will occur.
