Oval 3"w x 4"h Paper Beads Extra Long Cut 11 1/2"w x 1"h (ea.) (Flat) Examples of the two different beads that will be created using these patterns. Ex.#1 ex.#2 How-To-Demonstration on Making Paper Beads First cut the shapes out of any type of paper such as newspaper, magazines or wrapping paper. Thinner paper is easier to roll but you can also try patterned cardstock. Besides being able to cut them out faster with a die it also ensures they will all be a consistent shape. You will need to roll the paper strip on something cylindrical such as a knitting needle, pen, paint brush, straw, etc. Keep the paper centered as you roll in order to keep it symmetrical. To finish the bead, spread a small amount of white school glue on the final inch of paper. Paint the glue on the outside of the bead to finish it. Slide it off the cylinder so that you can let your paper bead dry. Now you can string them together to make bracelets, necklaces and other crafts!
