3 FM MODULAR COLLECTOR Installation options for hanger bolts Universal fixture for parallel and freestanding installation on various roof types and the freestanding installation on sufficiently anchored frames. The hanger bolt must be screwed into a member capable of bearing the required static load (generally rafters). The anchor plug is not part of the delivery. The wood screw cannot be screwed into extraction-proof metal plugs. Linear expansion in sheet metal lengths (each hanger bolt is a fixed point in the sheet metal that prevents a linear expansion and can cause lifting of the sheet). Snow load pressure is max. 0.65 kn (65 kg) per hanger bolt. No. Name Material 1 Hanger bolt M12 x 250 Stainless steel A2 2 Hanger bolt plate Stainless steel 1.4301 3 Hanger bolt seal EPDM 4 Hexagonal nuts with flange M12 Stainless steel A2 5 Washer M12 Stainless steel A2 Installation options of Duo hanger bolts Universal fixture for parallel and freestanding installation on various roof types and the freestanding installation on sufficiently anchored frames. Two hanger bolts are to be installed on the roof as vertically as possible with a spacing of 120 to 172 mm. The two are connected by an intermediate plate. No. Name Material 1 Hanger bolt M12 x 250 Stainless steel A2 2 Intermediate plate for Duo hanger bolt Stainless steel 1.4301 3 Hanger bolt seal EPDM 4 Hexagonal nuts, M12 with flange Stainless steel A2 5 Washer M12 Stainless steel A2 The hanger bolt must be screwed into a member capable of bearing the required static load (generally rafters). The anchor plug is not part of the delivery. The wood screw cannot be screwed into extraction-proof metal plugs. The roofing must be capable of withstanding the pressure needed to compress the seal. Linear expansion in sheet metal lengths (each hanger bolt is a fixed point in the sheet metal that prevents a linear expansion and can cause lifting of the sheet). Snow load pressure is max. 1.75 kn (175 kg) per Duo hanger bolt.

Installation options for parallel mounting on tiled roof For the mounting of collector modules parallel to the roof line (FM-S and FM-W) on tiled roofs with a roof pitch of at least 15. The hooks are hung over the tiles. Should the underlying roof batten be too thick, the lower part of the top hook is sawn off. To ensure that the hook cannot be lifted, a hole is drilled through the tile and the hook held by the screw supplied. Snow load pressure max. 30 kg/m 2 3 Dimensions Length 420 mm/height above 65 mm/height below 65 mm/thickness 4 mm Material Stainless steel 1.4301 Thickness 4 mm Screws Stainless steel 6 x 40 Installation options for tiled roof For parallel on-roof and freestanding mounting on tiled roofs with a roof pitch of at least 15 and an area loading greater than 30 kg/m 2. Can be used for the following types of tile (list not complete): Frankfurt, Taunus, Finkenberg, Doppelwurf-Harzerpfanne, Nelskamp, Ludwigsburg, Heidelberg, Ergoldsbach Wasi, Creaton Magnum, Meindl Romano Kremper, Großfalzziegel, Aktua Korami, Jungmeier Straubing and Bogen Maxifalzziegel Plus. The anchors must be screwed into a member capable of bearing the required static load (generally rafters or concrete). Load pressure on a rafter anchor up to a roof pitch of 30 is max. 250 kg/m 2, recommended spacing should be observed. DIN 1055 compliant Roof batten min. 30 mm The gap between rafter anchor and top edge of tile must be at least 2 3 mm. Under no circumstances may the rafter anchor be in contact with the tile (if the overall height of roof batten and tile do not match, the difference in height must be underlaid). Height Base plate 150 x 80 x 5 mm Stirrup, extended 370 mm Standard height 40 mm Special height 50 mm Material Stainless steel 1.4301, screws Slt T-40/10 x 120! Technical tip: Additional rafter anchors are required for roof pitch > 30 and areas with higher snow loads

3 FM MODULAR COLLECTOR Installation options for plain tiles/slate Only for parallel installation on plain tiled roofs (generally steep roofs with a pitch of over 30 ), the hooked ends are hung over the roof battens and screwed in place, a freestanding collector is not possible here. No. Name Material 1 Plain tile hook Stainless steel 1.4301 2 Plain tile foam, upper side Anthracite foam 3 Plain tile foam, underside Rubber Screws Stainless steel 6 x 40 Installation options for parallel mounting on tin roofs Only for parallel mounting on folded-seam tin roofs with galvanised or coated sheet steel, or copper. Not recommended for titanium-zinc sheet due to danger of cracks at low temperatures. A freestanding collector is not possible with the joint clamp, alternative: aluminium mounting plate. If stainless-steel screws are used, these may not be reused after they have been loosened (danger of breakage). Dimensions Length 100 mm/height 48 mm/width 40 mm/thickness 4 mm No. Name Material 1 Joint clamp part 1 Stainless steel 1.4301 2 Joint clamp part 2 Stainless steel 1.4301 3 Hexagon nut M10-8 DIN 934 Galvanised steel and zinc flake coated Geomet 500 4 Mushroom head square neck bolt M10 x 25-8.8 DIN 603 Galvanised steel and zinc flake coated Geomet 500

Installation options for tin roofs (bare or coated) Multi-part, bare aluminium mounting plate (bare or coated) for parallel and freestanding installation on all roofs with tin laid in sheets with a smooth surface and roof pitch greater than 5. The roof sheet must be cut to the size of the base plate template to allow for expansion of the tin. : Do not use a cutter grinder no flying sparks allowed. The screws do not have to connect with the rafters. If a separating layer (mat structure) is laid under the tin sheets, suitable spacers are to be used. 3 No. Name Material 7 1 Cover plate, bare (coated for copper roof) with rubber seal Aluminium 2 Base plate with M10 studs Aluminium 3 O-ring NBR 70 4 Wood screw 5 x 60 Stainless steel A2 5 Hexagon nut, M10 DIN 125 Stainless steel A2 6 Hexagon nut, M10 DIN 934 Stainless steel A2 7 U-section (dimensions: Length 130 mm/width 40 mm/height 40 mm) Stainless steel 1.4301 Installation options for side lock 2-part fixture for parallel and freestanding installation on side lock tiles. Not to be used for sheets (due to the fixed points that prevent a linear expansion and so would cause lifting of the metal sheet). Dimensions Length 320 mm/height 90 mm/width 80 mm No. Name 1 Side lock collector holder part 1 Aluminium 2 Side lock cover sheet part 2 Aluminium 3 Side lock rubber sheet EPDM 4 Screw 10 x 100 Yellow galvanised

Installation options for bitumen flange plate height 50 mm For parallel and freestanding installation on bitumen and elastomer roofs. 4 The plates must be screwed into a member capable of bearing the required static load (generally rafters or concrete).
