Apologies Jo Sheppard Chairman s Report Apologies for failing to turn up for last month s meeting. Congratulations to Gary for achieving his County Judge badge. Secretary s Report From the last meeting, the bases are finished and awaiting the arrival of the new huts tomorrow. In preparation of the new site and the buildings, the over-hanging trees have been lopped by the tree surgeon employed by the estate and GB has been liaising with Ken, from the estate, about the new electrics. MC has purchased the new padlocks and locks to make the buildings secure and an extensive list of required items to finish the buildings and the interiors. This also includes the required paint for the exterior. There will be no shooting over the weekend of the 6 th /7 th as you know so instead of allocating the weekend to working on the old huts as previously agreed, I have requested help from the membership, to paint and complete as much of the carpentry required as possible. I have so far received 3 offers of help. Many thanks to those who helped out at Codicote village fun day. I have emailed my contact regarding the site problems, reinforcing our requirements, but to date have received no reply. Can I just remind the committee that originally, before accepting the have-a-goes that we do, we did inspect all the proposed sites, giving full details of the space required and each year they are reminded of that space. If on arrival, the position and area are not suitable, we have every right to walk away. As yet I have not received any paperwork from Archery GB for the renewals of membership, but I will be sending out our renewal emails and a few hard copies shortly. Late last month, the key for the low-profile fence gate was lost. I will be putting a reminder out with the renewals that members should make sure that it is on the trolley when they return it to the huts. We were lucky, a member of the estate staff handed it into the office. We have received the following applications for membership:- Mrs. Sandie Beck (Snr) Mr. Ross Wick (Snr)

JG said he needs to get the Park s permission to enable him to drive his car onto the field. CW hopes we can get plenty of help this weekend for the work on the new huts.
DC James and Johnnie will collect Del s old shed sometime next week. They will make new signs to go into the huts for the various types of equipment. Ray is being asked to make two more stands. Regarding the parking of our cars, the heavy duty mesh specifically for cars to park on is very expensive 1,400 ( incl vat) we need to hold fire on this for the present.
