Ground Floor Framing - Product Specification GROUND FLOOR FRMING The ground floor framing system is for use on commercial and retail buildings and can be used in conjunction with the commercial entrance doors. Materials: luminium profiles are extruded from alloy 6060/6063 T6 complying with the recommendations of S EN 7:1-9 Finishes: Mill finish Etched and anodised to S 397: 1991 (01.06.2007) - Silver 2 or colours on request. Polyester Powder coat paint to S EN 12206-1:2004. See separate list for standard colour range available. onstruction: luminium profiles are square cut mechanically jointed and secured using stainless steel screws driven into extruded screw splines. ll joints should be sealed against water penetration., Glazing and Infil Panels: The single glazed framework is designed to accommodate glass thickness of 6mm, 6.4mm, 7.mm,.mm, 10.mm, 11.mm In addition the double glaze framework can accommodate 24 and 24.mm thick double glazing units. 2mm thickness can be glazed only in beaded frame (KS 1/2). ll glass panels should be secured in framework with glazing gaskets extruded from TPE. Glazing to be carried out in strict accordance with S 6262 and S 6206 with particular attention being taken to risk areas, which would require safety glass. The system will also accommodate solid infil panels to customers own specification and supply. Installation and Fixing: The fixing of all framework is by woodscrews through the glazing pocket into securely located plugs in the surrounding structure. It is not recommended that fixing holes are pre-drilled, as site conditions may affect their position. Where possible continuous backplates are included on perimeter framework to provide a firm fixing and bedding platform. These plates also help to eliminate frame distortion. ll fixing screws must be stainless steel or cadmium plated finish. 2.01.01 Sheet 1 01.09.0
