Coaching Notes Law of Attraction Introduction Message from Wyatt the Wise Wizard! Hey Kids! Wyatt here! Now we re really getting into some cool stuff the Law of Attraction! The Law of Attraction is the fuel that brings your vision and your goals to life! The Law of Attraction is the belief that like energy attracts like energy just like a magnet attracts metal. Sound cool? Let s read the story Turning Off The Grungy Channel and learn all about it! All Rights Reserved. Page 3

Story - Turning Off The Grungy Channel Michael was having a rough day - seemed like nothing was going his way. When he got home he tossed his books on his desk, jumped in his bed, and covered his head with his pillow. What s going on? asked a friendly voice. Oh, Hi Wyatt I m just having a little pity party - rough day today I know I m supposed to power shift but I just don t feel like it, replied Michael. I understand how you feel, we all get down sometimes, and that s OK - but did you know that when you re stuck in grungy mode you re actually making things worse? asked Wyatt. What do you mean? I don t get it, replied Michael. This would be a great time to talk about the Law of Attraction, replied Wyatt. OK, said Michael, But what s that? It s one of the most important universal laws for you to learn and today is a great day to get started especially since we ve been talking about goals and dreams, replied Wyatt. All Rights Reserved. That s part of my problem, complained Michael, I just don t see how I m going to make the football team. All of the other boys are bigger than I am and they ve been playing together for years. And today, during PE, I couldn t catch a pass to save my life. Tryouts start Friday and I m really worried. Well, let s learn about the Law of Attraction and talk about how you can apply it to your goal of making the football team, suggested Wyatt. Sounds good, Michael agreed. The Law of Attraction is all about energy and it states that like energy attracts like energy. You see everything has energy me, you, the trees, the birds, your puppy, your best friend, your parents, and on and on and on. That sounds like The Force from the movie Star Wars, interrupted Michael. Actually, that is what The Force is all about, replied Wyatt. Sometimes people call this energy The Universe, Spirit, or Source. It is the energy that is within us all and that connects us all to each other. The cool thing is our thoughts have energy as well. They do? asked Michael. Yes, answered Wyatt. In fact, your thoughts are one of the most powerful energy creators on Earth - because your thoughts create your feelings. All Rights Reserved. Page 5

What do you mean? asked Michael. Wyatt continued, Your thoughts can make you feel fabulous or they can make you feel downright terrible. Let s look at an example.have you ever felt really excited about something - such as right before your birthday when you were about to get a fabulous gift that you really wanted? Do you remember how you felt? Did you feel excited? Happy? Did you feel tingly or fizzy all over? Definitely, I know exactly what you re talking about, answered Michael. Well that fizzy feeling is positive energy in your body, replied Wyatt. And that positive energy was created by your happy thoughts about your birthday. On the flip side, when you re feeling the grungies, you re experiencing negative energy in your body which is created by the negative thoughts in your mind. I m definitely feeling the grungies right now, shared Michael. This is important to understand because how you feel is a critical component to what you create in your life, explained Wyatt. If you re experiencing grungy feelings, it is because you are having grungy thoughts. And if you are having grungy thoughts it means you are focusing on grungy things. According to the Law of Attraction, this will only attract more grungy things to you because like energy attracts like energy. If you think about your thoughts like a giant magnet then what you think about you attract to you. If you focus on happiness, you will All Rights Reserved. Page 6

attract more happiness into your life. If you focus on worry then you will attract more worrying into your life. That s interesting, commented Michael. I noticed that on the way home from school today I was worrying about my math test and my soccer tournament this weekend. I usually don t worry about those things. That s because you re tuned into the grungy channel, said Wyatt. The grungy channel? asked Michael. Yes. Here s another way to think about the Law of Attraction that might help, shared Wyatt. Let s look at an analogy and compare the Law of Attraction to watching television. I like watching television, interrupted Michael. Yes, I know you do, continued Wyatt. When you tune your television to the sports channel, you receive sports shows on the screen. When you tune your television to the nature channel, you receive nature shows on the screen. Even though all of the television stations are constantly in the air at the same time, the only one you see is the television channel you tune into. That makes sense, said Michael. I m following you. All Rights Reserved. Page 7

Well the same is true for your thoughts. There are all kinds of thoughts you could have at any one time fear, love, hope, anger, happiness, confidence, peace, violence, worry, and on and on. You will experience whatever you tune your thought channel to. So if you tune your thought channel to happiness, you will experience positive energy and attract happiness in your life. If you tune your thought channel to worry, you will experience the grungies and attract more worry or anxiety into your life - just as you experienced earlier today.the good news is that you get to choose your thoughts. Well that s really cool, said Michael. So here is a question for you.i know I want to make the football team, so why am I messing up so much? Because you are focusing on what you don t want not on what you do want, replied Wyatt. I am? asked Michael. Yes! You see your thoughts and your feelings must match, explained Wyatt. What do you think to yourself right before the quarterback throws the football to you? That s easy, replied Michael. I m usually thinking, I hope I don t drop it. BAM! And you drop it. You see, your mind hears the words drop it, shared Wyatt. Try this next time tell yourself, I m going to catch this ball! or This ball is mine! Both of these messages tell your mind what All Rights Reserved. Page 8

you do want and create confidence and positive energy. The words Don t drop creates fear energy; the words catch it create positive energy. Do you hear the difference? I do! I can feel the difference as well! exclaimed Michael. Great! Remember that the Law of Attraction follows energy. If you say you want to make the football team but you feel doubtful (which is a grungy feeling) then the Law of Attraction won t work because your thought energy and your feeling energy don t match, explained Wyatt. This is really powerful stuff! So how do I fix it? asked Michael. Let s talk about how to tune your thought channel from the gurngy channel to the power channel! suggested Wyatt. Awesome, said Michael. There are four steps for tuning your thought channel. Those steps are to state your intention and focus on it, to believe it, to act on it, and to receive it. Let s look at each in more detail, suggested Wyatt Sounds great, said Michael. So the first step is to state your intention and to focus on it. Stating your intention means to say what you want. Then focus on it - look at your Vision Board every day and imagine yourself on the football team. I can definitely do that, said Michael. All Rights Reserved. Page 9

Great, replied Wyatt. The second step is to believe it. You must believe that your dream can come true. Remember that believing is a feeling not just words or a thought. I think this is where I m having trouble, shared Michael. I say I want to make the football team but deep down I feel doubtful. I understand, replied Wyatt. Don t worry, over the next three skill books you ll learn three great tools that will help you shift your feelings to match your thoughts. You re going to learn all about visualization, affirmations, and gratitude. Awesome, replied Michael. The third step is to act on it. Taking action is critical for achieving your goals. Sitting on the couch eating candy won t help you make the football team! That makes sense, chimed in Michael. And the last step is to receive it. Receiving it means acting as though you have already achieved your goal. This shifts your energy from wanting to believing, shared Wyatt. Learning to shift your energy is very powerful stuff and you ll learn about it in the next few skill books. Well let s get started, exclaimed Michael. Football tryouts start Friday and I m going to catch that ball and make the team! All Rights Reserved. Page 10

Positive energy will help you attract positive things into your life. 3. Why do the grungies set you up for failure? Because your feelings are not in alignment with your thoughts and what you say you want to create. Grungy energy attracts more grungies. 4.
