Illuminting light Press to turn the illuminting light on only in the TIME/LENR mode. The built-in electroluminescent bcklight illumintes the disply for pproximtely 3 seconds for esy viewing in drkness. NOTES u The electroluminescent pnel loses its luminnce s, the bttery becomes weker with use. lso, its luminnce level decreses grdully with use. u When the illuminting light becomes dim, replce the btteries. If the light remins dim fter the btteries re replced, hve the electroluminescent pnel replced by the retiler from whom the wtch ws purchsed. u While the illuminting light is used, the wtch gives out slight noise. When setting the hour digits in the 12-hour indiction, check tht M/PM is properly set.

10 How to set the hourly time signl l The hourly time signl cn be set in the TIME/LENR mode. With ech press of button, the hourly time signl will be lterntely engged or disengged. ccordingly, the hourly time signl mrk will pper or dispper indicting whether the hourly time signl is ON or OFF. Hourly time signl mrk The hourly time signl is engged (ON). Note on unusul disply: If ll the segments of the disply light up in the TIME/ LENR SETTING disply with the digits flshing, it is norml nd not mlfunction. This hppens when both buttons nd re pressed simultneously. In such cse, press button, or to return to the TIME/LENR mode, nd then set the time/clendr gin. The hourly time signl is disengged (OFF). STOPWTH MOE l The stopwtch cn mesure up to 9 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds nd 99 in 1/100 second increments. When the mesurement reches 10 hours, the stopwtch will utomticlly stop nd the disply will be reset to 0:00 00 00. l Up to the lp number 999 cn be displyed, nd the lp fter tht is counted from 001. l The stopwtch is equipped with tchymeter tht cn be used to clculte the verge speed for given segment by using the preset distnce to trvel nd unit of distnce. The verge speed cn be displyed within rnge between 1 nd 999 mph if mile is selected s the unit of distnce. l ny numeric vlue between 0.01 nd 99.99 cn be set s distnce to trvel independent of unit of distnce. l The unit of distnce is selectble mong mile, km nd n.mile (nuticl mile). l The grphic disply in the STOPWTH mode synchronizes with 1/10 second increment of the stopwtch mesurement. l The mesured dt cn be reclled in T RELL mode. For detils, refer to "HOW TO USE THE T RELL FUNTION". 11

Press to reset the stopwtch to 00 00 00 before use. If the stopwtch is running, press the button to stop it nd then press the button to reset it. If the stopwtch is stopped, press the button to reset it. Press to strt or stop the stopwtch. Pressing the button will lterntely strt or stop the stopwtch. To tke lp times, press the button during mesurement. Press to reset the stopped stopwtch to "00'00"oo." 15

TO VIEW SPLIT TIME (totl elpsed time from the strt) URING MESUREMENT l In ddition to ech lp dt, split time (totl elpsed time from the strt) cn be checked during mesurement. uring mesurement, press to disply the newest split time, which ws recorded t the time when the newest lp time ws tken. verge speed from the strt HOW TO USE THE T RELL FUNTION l Up to 100 mesurement dt cn be reclled. l The mesurement dt cn be reclled even before the mesurement is finished. In tht cse, the mesurement dt will be displyed in order from the newest to the oldest. l The lp number, lp time, split time, verge speed for ech lp time nd "verge speed for ech split time" will be presented. l The mesurement dt will be stored until the next mesurement is strted. If the stopwtch is stopped or working, the mesurement dt of the newest lp number will be displyed. If the stopwtch is reset, the mesurement dt of the lp number 1 (the oldest dt) will be displyed. If no lp time hs been tken since the strt of the mesurement, "---" will be displyed. 19

22 LRM MOE l The lrm cn be set to sound once every 24 hours. l You cn preview the lrm sound by using the sound demonstrtion function. Hour Minute Press to enter LRM mode. Press nd hold for 2 to 3 seconds to show LRM SETTING disply. The hour digits strt flshing. Press to select the item to be djusted (flshing). Hour Minute or Press to set the flshing digits. Press to confirm the lrm setting nd return to LRM mode. NOTES u With ech press of the button (or ), the flshing digits increse (or decrese). u The flshing digits move quickly if button or is kept pressed. u If the wtch is left untouched in the LRM SETTING disply with the digits flshing, it will utomticlly return to the LRM mode in 1 to 2 minutes. u When the 24-hour indiction is selected in the TIME/LENR mode, the lrm is lso displyed in the 24-hour indiction. u When setting the hour digits in the 12-hour indiction, check tht M/PM is properly set. 23

Enggement/disenggement of the lrm With ech press of the button in the LRM mode, the lrm will be lterntely engged or disengged. ccordingly, the lrm mrk will pper or dispper indicting whether the lrm is ON or OFF. lrm mrk The lrm is engged (ON). The lrm is disengged (OFF). How to stop the lrm mnully while sounding The lrm sounds for 20 seconds t the designted time nd utomticlly stops. To stop the lrm mnully while sounding, press ny of the buttons,,, or. oing this in ny disply cn stop the lrm. Sound emonstrtion Function (lrm sound preview) l The lrm sound cn be previewed in TIME/LENR mode. nd Press to enter TIME/LENR mode. Press both t the sme time. The lrm sound cn be herd while the buttons re kept pressed. Using this function my chnge enggement or disenggement (ON or OFF) of the lrm. In such cse, refer to Enggement/ disenggement of the lrm to reset it to the desired setting. 24 25

The wtch returns to its defult setting, which is "12:00'00".m., 1-1-07, MO with the distnce to trvel set for "1.00 mile." efore you begin using the wtch, set the time, clendr nd lrm. 26 l The bttery life my be less thn 2 yers if the lrm is used for more thn 10 seconds dy nd/or the illuminting light more thn once (for 3 seconds) dy. l Even if either of the two btteries hs run down, replce both of them with new ones. l s the btteries re inserted t the fctory to check the function nd performnce of the wtch, their ctul lives once in your possession my be less thn the specified period. l When the btteries expire, be sure to replce them s soon s possible to prevent ny mlfunction. l We recommend tht you contct n UTHORIZE PULSR ELER for bttery replcement. WRNING l o not remove the bttery from the wtch. l If it is necessry to tke out the bttery, keep it out of the rech of children.
