The Texas Diversity Council Hosts the 2017 Women in Leadership Symposiums in Four Locations In March 2017, the Texas Diversity Council hosted Women in Leadership Symposiums in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and Corpus Christie, Texas. Attendees of the symposium gained knowledge and advice from corporate leaders who shared insight from their personal success and leadership experience as professionals. Our hope is that this symposium helps improve female representation across the nation, said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chairman of the National Diversity Council. Bringing women together to educate and encourage one another is a great place to begin the path to success. The half-day event featured multiple business leaders from various organizations discussing topics such as Lifting Up the Next Generation of Women, Switching Your Career: When Life Calls for a U-Turn, and Transforming the Rules of Engagement. The symposiums began with a welcome from exceptional women in each city. Following a series of speeches presented by featured panelists, audience members were given the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts on the discussion topics presented. The Texas Diversity Council would like to thank all the sponsors, speakers and attendees for helping to make this event a success.
