ALBERTA CULTURE DAYS In 2015, thousands of Albertans discovered and celebrated our arts, heritage and cultural diversity with almost 900 events in over 70 communities across the province. Culture Days 2016, will continue to play a key role in connecting people and communities. Saturday Oct 1 10 AM to 2 PM Demo and Talk 30 minutes at 10, 11 AM and 1 PM Green Room Leather Carving Rod Lachmuth Join Calgary artist Rod Lachmuth in this Leather Carving demo and mini-workshop in the Pottery Studio, he will demonstrate the process of giving a three-dimensional appearance to leather craft objects by cutting and stamping the surface. Encaustic Painting Sharon Lynn Williams Try something new this weekend and try your hand at encaustic painting with Calgary artist Sharon Lynn Williams. This hot wax painting technique involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added and painted onto wood.
