1. Definitions (1) LED lighting products 1 Self-ballasted LED reflectors Unit, similar as MR16 PAR20 PAR30 and PAR38, incorporates LED light source and any additional elements necessary for starting and stable operation of the light source, provides with lamp cap conforming to GU10 B22 E14 or E27, and cannot be dismantled without being permanently damaged. 2 LED downlights The LED down spotlight, with LED light source integrated with additional elements necessary for starting and stable operation of the light source, or with the driver separated from the lighting parts. 3 LED road/tunnel lighting LED modular devices, that meet the requirements of road/tunnel lighting, including light-emitting diode (LED) as the light source integrated with other components such as optical, mechanical, electrical and electronic components as one. Note: the driving devices of the LED road/tunnel lighting product in the specification can be separated structure. (2) Classification Classify the LED light products according to the type of the product. Self-ballasted LED reflectors are divided into four types, as MR16 PAR20 PAR30 and PAR38; LED road/tunnel lighting products are classified into four types according to luminous flux, as 3000lm, 5400lm, 9000lm and 14000lm. 1

(3) Rated values Including rated luminous flux, rated correlated color temperature, rated power factor and etc., rated values are the corresponding parameter values of LED lighting products under rated operation conditions, and they are the values assigned by the manufacturer responsible vendor. (4) Initial values Quality values obtained after seasoning and stabilization of the LED lighting products. They are used to evaluate the initial performance of LED lighting products, including initial luminous flux, initial efficacy, initial correlated color temperature, initial color rendering index and etc. Note: in the present conditions, taking into the account of the technical status of LED lighting products, combined with the statistical analysis of the laboratory test results of the products, the initial value of LED lighting products defined in this specification is the parameter values obtained after seasoning for 1000hrs. (5) Beam angle and central beam intensity The angle between two given straight lines in the planes through the beam axis of self-ballasted LED reflectors. These two lines are through the lighting plane centre of the lamp and lighting point for which the intensity is the 50% of the central beam intensity. Herein, the central beam intensity is the measured lighting intensity value in the beam axis of the self-ballasted LED reflectors, with unit as Candela, and the beam axis is the symmetry axis of the intensity distribution of the lamp, which is not necessarily the lamp axis through of the cap or perpendicular to the datum plane. 2

(6) Lumen maintenance Lumen maintenance is the luminous flux output remaining output at any selected elapsed operating time, it is expressed as a percentage of the initial luminous flux. Note: in this specification, the lumen maintenance at 3000h, 6000h and 10000h are regulated for self-ballasted LED reflectors, LED road/tunnel lighting and LED downlights. (7) Maintained color rendering index It is the color rendering index at any selected elapsed operating time of LED lighting products. Note: in the specification, in order to investigate the color rendering index change of LED lighting product with time, color rending index requirement at 3000hrs is regulated. (8) Average lifetime and rated lifetime Length of time at which the lumen maintenance of certain ratio(x) of LED lighting products reaches the specified value(y) under specified test conditions is called as average lifetime. Rated lifetime is the corresponding rated value assigned by the manufacture or responsible vendor. Note: in the specification, the average lifetime is the length of time at which the lumen maintenance of 50% of LED lighting products reach 70%, that is X=50%,Y=70%. 2. GB7000.1 (IEC60598-1), GB7000.5 (IEC 60598-2-3), GB7000.201 (IEC 60598-2-1), and GB7000.202 (IEC 60598-2-2) respectively. (2) EMC test The disturbance voltage, harmonic current emissions and surge tests should be performed in accordance with GB 17743 (CISPER 15:2005), GB17625.1 (IEC 61000-3-2 : 2001) and GB/T 17626.5 (IEC 61000-4-5 : 1995) respectively. (3) Photometric test General requirements a. Ambient conditions Measurements are taken at an ambient temperature of 25 ±1, and maximum relative humidity as 65%. For lifetime test, the ambient temperature should be 25 ±15. At the same time, ensure that the air flow around the lighting product is normal convective air flow, vibration or shock of the lighting products are not allowed. b. Input voltage The AC power supply for operating the products should have a 50Hz sinusoidal 220V voltage, and RMS summation of the harmonic components should not be exceed 3% of the fundamental. Regulation of the voltage should be within ±0.5% under load for stabilization, within ±0.2% for measurements, and within ±2% for seasoning and lifetime operation. Seasoning and lifetime test Seasoning and lifetime tests should be performed under full load. During the tests, self-ballast LED reflectors and LED downlights are operated continuously, and for LED street/tunnel lighting products, turn on the lights for 11.5h and turn off for 0.5h. The turn-off time is not included in the operation time. 10

Stabilization The stabilization time is different for different product type, and the stabilization is judged by the below method: read the lumen output and power for at least 3 times in 30 minutes, calculate the reading at 15 minutes, and the deviations of lumen output and power should be lower than 0.5%. Test of electrical parameters After 1000h seasoning of the lighting products, measure the parameter values by digital power meter. Photometric test a. Measurement of luminous flux and colour parameters After the scheduled aging time and when the product reaches stability, use integrating sphere test system or goniophotometer test system to test the luminous flux and colour parameters. For LED street/tunnel lighting products, luminous flux should be measured with goniophotometer test system, and in accordance with GB/T 9468. b. Measurement of lumen maintenance Perform luminous flux test of LED lighting products according to the above regulation, and lumen maintenance is calculated by luminous flux at a certain time and initial luminous flux. c. Beam angle and center beam intensity After 1000h seasoning of self-ballast LED reflectors, tests are performed according to GB/T 19658 (IEC 61341) when the photometric parameters reach stability. 4 References GB 24906-2010 Self-ballast LED-lamps for general lighting services > 50V Safety Specifications 11
