YOU MUST READ THIS DOCUMENT BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO ASSEMBLE THE PANEL. Thank you for purchasing this ClearView panel. When properly assembled and maintained, this product will provide years of reliable service. These instructions include helpful hints and important information needed to safely assemble and properly maintain the panel. Please read these instructions before you begin. If you have any questions during the assembly, contact Customer Service for assistance. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Wear eye protection. Wear gloves when handling metal parts. Use a portable GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) when working with power tools and cords. Do not occupy the shelter during high winds, tornadoes, or hurricanes. Provide adequate ventilation if the structure is enclosed. Do not store hazardous materials in the shelter. Provide proper ingress and egress to prevent entrapment. WARNING: The individuals assembling this structure are responsible for designing and furnishing all temporary bracing and support needed during the assembly process. For safety reasons, those who are not familiar with recognized construction methods and techniques must seek the help of a qualified contractor. ClearView panels are intended to be used as a porch or patio enclosure or as a room divider. If you intend to use the panels in a different manner call Customer Service for further information. ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE Following the instructions as presented will help ensure proper assembly. Failing to follow these steps may result in an improper assembly and will void all warranty and protection the owner is entitled. The steps outlining the assembly process are as follows: 6. Verify that all parts are included in the shipment. Notify Customer Service for questions or concerns. Read these instructions, and all additional documentation included with the shipment before you begin. Gather the tools, bracing, ladders, and assistance needed. Check the weather before you begin. Do not install panels on a windy or stormy day. Assemble the components in the order they are presented in these instructions. Read the Care and Maintenance information at the end of these instructions. LIST OF WORDS AND PHRASES Before you begin, it is important to become familiar with the words and phrases used in this instruction manual. These words and phrases are common to most ClearView panels and identify the different parts of the panel. (Some are used in this document. Others may not apply to this particular panel.) These terms describe the shipped parts and can also be found on the materials list/spec sheets included with the shipment. To aid in the assembly, read through the following definitions before you begin. Conduit: An assembly of pipes used to roll the panels onto. Each pipe joint of a conduit assembly is secured with a self-tapping Tek screw. Plain or Straight Pipe: A term used to describe a pipe that has the same diameter or width throughout its entire length. Swaged End or Swaged Pipe: The term swaged'' refers to the tapered end of the pipe or tube. Swaged ends of a pipe can be inserted into the straight ends of other pipes. Tek Screw: A self-tapping fastener used to secure items to either wood or steel without drilling a pilot hole. Fender Washer: A large diameter flat washer used under the head of a Tek screw to secure fabric or other soft material to wood or steel.

REQUIRED TOOLS The following list identifies the main tools needed to assemble the panel. Additional tools and supports may be needed depending on the location, and application. Tape measure or measuring device Variable speed drill Drill bits 3/8'' Nut Setter or 3/8'' socket Scissors Gloves Metal file Metal-cutting saw Duct tape Box cutter or utility knife Ladders, work platforms, and other machinery for lifting designed to work safely at the height of the panel. CLEARVIEW PANELS UNPACK AND IDENTIFY PARTS The following steps will ensure that you have all the necessary parts before you begin. Unpack the contents of the shipment and place where you can easily inventory the parts. Refer to the Bill of Materials/Spec Sheets. Verify that all parts listed on the Bill of Materials/Spec Sheets are present. If anything is missing or you have questions, consult the Pictorial Parts Guide and all shelter diagrams for clarification, or contact Customer Service. NOTE: At this time, you do not need to open the plastic bags containing smaller parts such as fasteners or washers.

NOTICE: Accessories are sold separately. Ask your sales associate for details. The following graphics and photos will help you identify parts and accessories available for the ClearView panel. Some accessories are required for operation of the roll-up feature. ASSEMBLE AND INSTALL CONDUITS NOTE: Assistance may be required. Assemble Conduits: Gather the Tools and Materials 6. 7. CLEARVIEW PANELS Insert the pipe completely into the hem of the panel. Insert Tek screws through the hem of the panel into the conduit about 3'' from each end. ClearView Panel Conduit pipes Metal-cutting saw Duct tape 3/8'' Nut Setter or 3/8'' socket Variable speed drill Metal file or rasp Lay the panel on a flat surface. Lay the conduit along the bottom (hemmed) edge of the panel. The finished conduit must be the same length as the panel. If the conduit is too long it must be cut. If a single pipe is too short, two or more pipes must be joined together to equal the length of the panel. NOTE: If multiple roll-up panels were ordered, a selection of conduit lengths may have been sent. Select the lengths that best match the length of each panel before cutting any pipes. Some pipes have swaged ends; do not cut these ends off. Assemble the conduit by inserting the swaged end of one pipe into the plain end of another. Cut the pipes as needed so the length of the finished conduit equals the length of the panel. Insert a Tek screw into each conduit joint using a drill/driver and the 3/8'' Nut Setter or a 3/8'' socket. The Tek screws are self drilling so no pre-drilled holes are needed. To prevent damage to the panel from sharp edges, wrap each pipe joint and screw head with at least two layers of duct tape. Use a metal file or rasp to remove any burrs from the inside or outside of the conduit ends.

PREPARE THE FRAME AND HANG THE PANEL Gather the Tools and Materials INSTALL THE ROLL-UP COMPONENTS Gather the Tools and Materials Screw Hooks Pulleys Eye Screws Rope Cleat Drill bit Nylon Cord Variable speed drill Drill bit With the help of an assistant, hold the panel centered on the outside of the opening high enough that the bottom of the panel does not touch the ground or floor. NOTE: To prevent wear do not let the panel touch the ground or floor. Mark the frame where each grommet will be located. Draw a straight line between the first and last marks on the frame. This assures the panel hangs straight and does not sag in the middle. Drill pilot holes along the straight line and insert screw hooks into the frame at each mark for a grommet. Drive the screw hooks into the frame to the same depth so the panel will hang evenly. Turn the open side of the hooks upward. Variable speed drill Slip a 7/8'' nylon pulley on the second screw hook from each end of the panel. Attach additional pulleys to the screw hooks along the panel no more than 72'' apart. Drill pilot holes and insert eye screws inside the frame opposite each screw hook with a pulley. 6. Hang the panel on the screw hooks by slipping the grommets over the open end of the hooks. Attach a rope cleat to the outside of the frame about five (5) feet above the ground where it is convenient to reach. The cord to roll up and unroll the panel will be attached to this cleat.

Attach a length of 1/8'' Nylon cord to the eye screw 6. Feed the cord through all the screw hooks to the rope farthest from the rope cleat. cleat. Run the cord down the back of the panel, under the bottom of the panel, up the front of the panel, and through the pulley. 7. Extend the cord about a foot past the rope cleat and cut it. NOTE: A panel without a clear insert was used for photographs. 8. Attach cords to all the eye screws on the inside of the frame. The cords must be long enough to reach the rope cleat.

9. Run each cord down the back of the panel, under the panel, up the front of the panel, through the pulley, and through any screw hooks to the rope cleat. 1 Tie all the cords together and cut the ends evenly. 10. Run all the cords through the last screw hook then down to the rope cleat.

PANEL OPERATION CLEARVIEW PANELS Coil any remaining cord and hang it on the rope cleat. To roll the panel up, pull all the cords at once. Warning: Do not let children play with the cord. When the panel is at the desired height, wrap the cords around the rope cleat in a figure ''8'' pattern. When the panel is unrolled, the sides of the panel may be attached to the frame with screws and washers or snugger tie-downs for a more weather-tight fit. NOTE: If the frame is metal, use a self-drilling Tek screw with a fender washer. If the frame is wood, use a non-corrosive wood or decking screw with a noncorrosive flat washer. CARE AND MAINTENANCE Your ClearView panel will provide years of trouble free service. To protect your investment follow the tips below. To remove fine dust from the panel, spray a liquid window cleaner on it and wipe with a soft cloth. Do not wipe the panel with a dry cloth. To reduce static electricity in the panel, lightly wipe it with a clothes dryer anti-static sheet. To remove mud or dirt from the panel, spray it with water from a garden hose and wipe with a soft cloth. Do not roll the panel up when wet. Allow the panel to remain unrolled until it air-dries. Do not allow the panel to remain rolled up when heavy rain or snow is expected. Unroll the panel and secure it to the frame. Secure the panel to the frame if high winds are expected.
