DEDICATED STR NUT STR60 and STR90 nuts have been especially developed by LISI AEROSPACE to fulfill the STL pins requirements. BENEFITS OF THE STL SYSTEM LIGHTNING STRIKE PROTECTION The tightly controlled radial expansion provides lightning strike protection and better electrical conductivity. Thus, it preserves fuel tank areas from sparks and high temperature outgasing. ECF Sparking issue with conventional clearance pins Special care has been given to contact quality with Expanded Copper Foil (ECF) on countersunk head by optimizing the sleeve edge. The STL system passed lightning strike protection tests performed by LISI AEROSPACE. Lightning strike protection thanks to the STL system INTERFERENCE FIT PINS Pulled into the assembly by tightening the fully compatible STR nut, the conical core bolt of the STL fastener expands the sleeve radially into the cylindrical hole.
