NETNode IP MESH Radio NETNode IP Mesh Radio: The Performance of COFDM with the Flexibility of IP Enhanced IP performance Embedded High performance Video Encoder (option)
What does the NETNode IP MESH Radio System Do Today? Key System Features Enables up to 12 IP Radio nodes to connect together in a Fluid Self Healing Mesh. The mesh operates on either a single narrow band or a wideband frequency. Phase 3 Nodes include a NEW 6MHz Bandwidth mode providing up to 6.7Mbps The NETNode system employs COFDM for excellent range and NLOS capability. Up to 4 Maximum Ratio Combined receive antenna (MISO) or 1x4 MIMO The mesh is multi-directional. NetNode Features Each node can be a source of video, audio or IP data. Any node can act as a relay. The NETNode system can operate with IP cameras or composite cameras. Data Encryption with optional AES128/256. 1W radios as standard. (NEW 2W option available & higher powers supported)
Monitoring and Control options Simple Monitoring and Control Web browser control. Mission Commander - Comprehensive control and monitoring applications Store and Forward function GPS interface and mapping. NETNode and SOLO/VMT are Partners Solo/VMT/VMD complements NETNode Solo / GMS VMT / DTC VMD: Small and low power, ideal for hides. COFDM Bodywire Easy to conceal. Excellent Image quality. Ideal for primary surveillance link. Simplex, unidirectional. NETNode IP MESH Radio: NETNode IP Radio Duplex, bi-directional. Ideal for distributing primary content to dispersed users. Ideal for providing secondary feeds. Ideal for networking multiple sensors and users in the target area.
NETNode and Standard COFDM integration Example Network 3 cameras connected to the Mesh Two from a standard COFDM Transmitters via an IP streaming COFDM receivers One connected directly to a Mesh Node COFDM Transmitters would typically be set to 300 to 600kbps SIF mode and then this data is streamed out of the COFDM Receiver into the Mesh The PC acts as a multi stream video viewer Node 1 Node 2 Node 5 Central Node Node 3 Node 4

Multiple Nodes on a common IP Backbone Node 1 Node 2 Normally either Node #1 or Node #2 would have to be on the IP backbone not both! In today s Mesh system you can not have Node #1 and Node #2 on a common backbone
Urban Surveillance (Interlink mode) HQ Tower 1 Tower 2 Urban Area IP Backbone Tower 3 As long as the Nodes on the Towers can see each other then they can seamlessly handover a mesh Node between the Backbone Nodes
Interlink Mode It is now possible to link multiple nodes to a common IP Backbone Uses an IP tunnelling approach
VLAN - Enhanced IP Capability A virtual LAN, commonly known as a VLAN, allows a number of networks to share the same physical resource such as the mesh network. This makes it possible to have completely separate networks running over a common NetNode system. Addresses 10.10.1.x Addresses 10.10.2.x VLAN2 Addresses 10.10.3.x VLAN1 Mesh Radio Network 192.168.1.x VLAN3 Intelligent VLAN aware Switch 10.10.1.x 10.10.2.x 10.10.3.x 192.168.1.x
VLAN - Enhanced IP Capability The NetNode supports up to 8 separate VLANS on a mesh network. Each VLAN is maintained by a separate routing table within each NetNode. The netnode allows VLAN tagging and stripping on the two external Ethernet ports.
