Industrial wireless communication HUBER+SUHNER serves a variety of industries that have higher requirements on connectivity solutions due to the harsh environments in which they operate. In addition to traditional wired communications between devices, the industry is increasingly relying on wireless connections. The radio modules used work in the cellular or frequency ranges. Access points The direct installation of an antenna on the access point is often the simplest way of connecting to a wireless network. Remote antennas can also be used in areas with difficult radio communication condition. Antennas Direct installation on the access point SENCITY OMNI-S This stick antenna is small, compact and can be installed directly on the access point. Installation on a wall or mast SENCITY SPOT-S A robust, directional antenna for optimum coverage in areas with difficult radio communication conditions. Data connections (copper) Our expertise in data communication cables in combination with electron-beam crosslinked materials technology results in databus cables preassembled on request that meet requirements for excellent mechanical and electrical properties even at high temperatures and in harsh environmental conditions. Data connections (fiber optics) MASTERLINE extreme is a pre-assembled, multi-fiber cable system equipped directly with proven ODC connectors (screw-type or push-pull) by HUBER+SUHNER. This ready-foruse cable system is characterised by high environmental stability and robust connectors, making it ideal for industrial applications. Distribution boxes Vandal-proof antennas are used to connect distributions boxes in public spaces to a radio network. Since the maintenance of these sites is expensive, the product service life plays a very important role under the given environmental conditions. Antennas SENCITY OMNI-S Omni-directional antenna for outdoor use with rugged housing and single hole mounting. Configurable SENCITY OMNI-S (up to) 4 4 MIMO and Cellular/4G LTE antenna for outdoor or indoor use with a rugged, low-profile housing for single hole installations. Radio frequency connections Depending on the installation, the antenna is connected to the access point using a low attenuation cable, such as SX_04172_B-60. However, if space is at a premium, more value is placed on a space-saving, flexible cables. Properties which are embodied by the ENVIROFLEX 316_D, for example. EMP and lightning protection Coaxial protection components from the 3400 and 3406 series protect industrial coaxial connections up to 6 GHz using gas capsule or λ/4 short-circuit technology and are waterproof. Data connections (fiber optics) Ideally, pre-assembled cable systems, such as the MASTERLINE Classic, are used together with distribution boxes for quick and easy connection of active systems in LiSA cabinets. This special portfolio is supplemented by splice and patch panels, as well as patch cables for internally connecting cable terminators to active systems such as wireless modules or access points. Buildings Buildings or locations with difficult wireless coverage conditions can be connected to a wireless or cellular network using stick antennas or directional antennas. The products are installed on a corresponding bracket at a suitable position on a wall or a mast. Antennas SENCITY OMNI-S/OMNI-M Omni-directional or mobile communication stick antenna for outdoor use. SENCITY SPOT-S/SPOT-M/SPOT-L Directional antenna for outdoor use with a rugged housing (IP66/67) with various installation options. Radio frequency connections These applications require installations capable of meeting the high demands regarding outdoor and environmental conditions. Typically the connection to the antenna is a long feeder cable (e.g., SPUMA 400_FR-01) with a larger diameter and low loss in combination with a short jumper cable with a smaller diameter (e.g., ENVIROFLEX 316_ D) and thus improved flexibility. EMP and lightning protection To prevent damage to the radio equipment key must be protected against overvoltage. Protection components from the 3414 series for data cables protect industrial Ethernet connections (Cat 5 and Cat 6) and are also available in waterproof designs to IP68. Coaxial protection components from the 3400 and 3406 series protect industrial coaxial connections from DC to 6 GHz gas capsule or λ/4 short-circuit technology and are waterproof. Data connections (fiber optics) Rugged, waterproof and dust-tight cable systems such as MASTERLINE extreme are suitable for connecting antenna amplifiers and access points to masts and walls. Our ODC connectors ensure reliable connections thanks to their protected optical end faces. Fiber optic solutions also include hybrid cable systems for data and power connections, halogen free and low smoke cables (LSFH ) for excellent fire protection, as well as compact distribution boxes at transfer or distribution points. SENCITY RAIL Designed as a roof top antenna for rail vehicles, this mobile antenna has a very robust housing. Radio frequency connections The comprehensive range of cable assemblies meet different requirements depending on vehicle use, whether in terms of temperature requirements, environmental conditions, oil and fluid resistance, or specific safety standards in case of fire. The typical cable types for this application are ENVIROFLEX 178_D, a very flexible cable with a very small diameter, and SX_04172_B-60 with very low attenuation performance.
