For each phase: o An analog input receives the signal pilot of amplitude 0~±10 V peak, o After insulation, the equipment amplifies this signal depending on the gain range selected and on the programmed gain, with a very short propagation delay, o Two analog and isolated outputs return images of voltage and current at the output of the equipment with an amplitude of 0~±10 V peak. Built in linear technology, these amplifiers have high dynamics, very low distortion over a wide frequency band and a wide bandwidth. This technology also allows them to provide overpower up to 4 times their rated power. Linear amplifiers technology allows a quick and easy integration for "Real time" or "Hardware In the Loop" applications in combination with simulators such as Opal-RT, dspace or National Instruments. Entirely self-sufficient with their local control on touch screen, they can be controlled remotely from a supervisor system via an Ethernet or RS232 link for an easy integration in a complex test system. PERMANENT OPERATING AREAS IN AC These diagrams express the relationship between the current and the voltage for different values of power factor. X-coordinates express the voltage as a percentage of the range. Y-coordinates express the current percentage of the rated current of the range. Continuous operation is allowed below curves. Limitations are due to the heating of the power transistors. Operation above diagrams will result in: An immediate switch-off by over-current protection if current is above the limits, A break after a delay by thermal protection in case of overheating of the power parts. These features are for each phase. Blue trace: dephasing between voltage and current is null. The power factor PF is equal to 1 (generation on resistive load). Green trace: dephasing between voltage and current is 90 (π / 2). The power factor PF is equal to 0 (generation on inductive load). Red trace: dephasing between voltage and current is 180 (π). The power factor PF is equal to -1 (full absorption). Connection IN-SERIES of amplifiers outputs is allowed in DC only. Connection IN PARALLEL of amplifiers outputs is not allowed. Document ref. LOCAL OR REMOTE CONTROL Managed by a Control Board, the amplifiers have two operating modes: Local control: The control device equipped with a graphical touch screen disposed in front panel gives access to all the control functions and the display of the measures. Remote control: The control device has one TCP/IP Ethernet interface and two serial links, RS232 and RS485, for a control through a remote PC. Control can be done either using Puissance+ OPS3 software (not supplied), either directly via instructions TCP/IP or RS232 / RS485 using customer software. LOCAL CONTROL: Amplifier On the main screen, graphical objects (boxes, input boxes and buttons) are to set it up: Gain range selection, Balanced or unbalanced threephase system, Output ON or OFF for each phase, Gain for each phase. When system is unbalanced, gain of each phase can be modified. When system is balanced, gain of phases 2 and 3 is the same as gain of phase 1. Fields return the instantaneous values of voltage, current and power. LEDs indicate status: thermal fault or overcurrent detected. An acknowledge button is used to restart output in case of overcurrent detected. LOCAL CONTROL: Configuration This screen is for current management. User can define maximum current for the three phases and what to do in case of overcurrent at the end of the programmed duration: Limit the voltage decreases to limit current to the programmed value, Stop the outputs are switched off. LOCAL CONTROL: Calibration Protected by a password, this panel is to adjust the gain of each phase. When calibration is well done, output amplitude will be the same on each phase if the input amplitude is the same. This calibration requires an external measurement system. In the same way, current and voltage measurements of the amplifier can be calibrated.
