Download the OverDrive app Tap on Apps, then tap on Store Search for Overdrive Tap on Free, then Get App App will download onto your Kindle Install and Open the OverDrive app 2
Sign up for an OverDrive account using your library card. If you already have an OverDrive Account, log in here. 3
Fill in the form. Tap on Sign Up. The OverDrive account will sync your libraries, saved searches and reading or listening positions across multiple devices. 4
Tap on OverDrive or Menu in the top left-hand corner. For older versions, tap on Menu, then Get Books 5
Add a Library Select the + sign to add a library Choose Manage Libraries Enter in Poudre or your zip code and tap SEARCH 6
Select a library. (It doesn t matter which one.) Tap on the star. It will turn gold and remember this library. Tap on Poudre and begin your search. 7
Tap on Account to see what you have checked out, on hold, on your wish list and in your settings. 8
Login with your Library Card number and then tap Sign in. 9
Tap on Checkouts to see your checked out items.
Tap on Holds to see what you have on hold, where you are on the wait list and to remove or edit the title. 11
Make a wish list of books you might like to read or listen to later. Tap the red ribbon to add or remove a title from your wish list. 12
Settings: 21 day checkout for ebooks and Audiobooks, 7 day for video. Limit of 10 items checked out at a time. Choose the range of content and cover images available. High Contrast and Dyslexic Font available. Tap SAVE to keep the settings on or off. 13
Search by author, title, genre or subject. Browse by format and genre. 14
Sort by title, author, release date or most popular. Don t want to Don t want to wait? Tap on Available Now for titles available for immediate download. Only Titles with grey icons in with the right Copies hand corner must be put on hold. wait? Tap on Available. 15
The icon in the corner lets you know if the title is an ebook or an Audiobook. If the icon is greyed out, the title is checked out and can be placed on hold. Simply tap on the title you would like Then tap on Borrow or Place Hold. to read or listen to. 16 16
Go to Checkouts Select Add to App (EPUB ebook) 17
Tap on the Menu or swipe right to get to your Bookshelf. Tap on Bookshelf. 18
Tap on your title to open it. 19
Reader Options 1. Return to your bookshelf. 2. Settings, including brightness, font, page layout, etc. 3. Add a bookmark 4. Title menu (including overview, table of contents, saved bookmarks, etc.) 5. Reading Progress
On your library Bookshelf, select the Renew icon next to the title you'd like to renew. This option does not appear until three days before the title is supposed to expire. If there are no holds on a title, the Renew icon will be green. If there are holds on a title, the Renew icon will be grayed out. Once you renew a title, the Renew icon on your library Bookshelf will have a checkmark next to it. 21
You can track which titles you've renewed from your Holds page. As soon as your first checkout expires the title is available for you to borrow again. You will receive an email notification. You may now borrow the title a second time. You can renew each title one time. 22
Suspend a hold Get your hold title when you are ready for it. Auto hold Automatically checks the title out to you. However, you still must download the title. Remove your hold or edit your email address
To return an item, go to your bookshelf. Press and hold the title, then choose return to library. 24
If you want to read it in Kindle format, click on read now with Kindle 25
You will be taken to Amazon.com, where you will sign in, then choose the device you wish to read on. The title will appear on your Kindle s Carousel. 26
