Slide Deck for ACC-NCR Career Development Forum Program: Elevating Your Digital Brand
Part I
Purposeful Profile Design Use Visuals to build affinity with your target audience: What do you want people to associate with you right off the bat? What is the purpose of a specific photo versus another photo? Some users curate the Summary to describe where they are now others to describe where they want to be in the future. Some do both. Define your objectives and then try to capture those in your Summary.
Maintain Your Experience Listings Seek recommendations for your former roles. Communicate that you left prior positions as a shining star! Keep prior positions that show dedication, success, and building of your experience and skill set toward your current role/where you want to go next. Remember to uncheck the box! Summarize your greatest accomplishments in the past role (past tense).
Branding: Public URL & Profile Badge Go To www.linkedin.com/public-profile/settings Edit URL to include your whole name or tag line
Disclaimers for Writing on LinkedIn An effective disclaimer captures the fact that your audience or others can comment on your work, or use it for purposes you did not intend. It also captures your willingness to hear reasonable concerns or complaints in private, not in a comment war on your work. The more content one feels is needed in a disclaimer, the higher the chance that the pros and cons of posting the content need to be carefully weighed before posting at all.
