INTRODUCTION At Teledyne SP Devices we design and produce performance-enhanced digitizers that offers a unique combination of high sampling rate and vertical resolution. The performance advantage is enabled by our patented solutions for time-interleaved analog-todigital converters (ADCs), and we have conducted research in this field since 1998. We call the technology ADX, and it is widely adopted/endorsed by ADC and T&M manufacturers such as Texas Instruments, National Semiconductor, Intersil, ev, and Teledyne LeCroy. ADX operates transparently in the background and does not require specific calibration signals or interaction from the user. The solution effectively removes the trade-off between sampling rate and vertical resolution otherwise present in traditional ADC/digitizer products.
APPLICATIONS Our products provide performance benefits to a wide variety of application areas including lidar, mass spectrometry, signals intelligence, radar, ultrasound, big physics, and more. The digitizers are available in a multitude of form factors, including, 10GbE, c/, and.4 and supporting extension modules are also available such as SSD modules for data recording, 10 Gbit Ethernet for fast data transfers over optical fiber, and trigger/timing modules that enable intraboard multi-channel synchronization. The boards comes pre-installed with a large set of real-time signal processing blocks inside the FPGA and a software development kit (SDK) is also included free of charge with the digitizer. There is also an optional FPGA firmware development kit available that gives the user access to the on-board FPGA.
