The Fear Eliminator Report Are your fears holding you back from reaching the goals and dreams you have for your life? All too often our fears stand in the way of actualizing the greatness that dwells within us. The information in this report will help you break down barriers of fear that are keeping you from reaching your full potential and start living the life you are meant to have starting NOW. If you know the things you want to manifest into your life, but you still haven t gotten those things, then it could be fear getting in the way. You may be afraid you won t achieve your goals. You may be afraid that once you get somewhere in life, you will be bad at it. You may be afraid of taking on the responsibilities to achieve your goals. Fear can be truly paralyzing. And yet, when you were a child, they didn t hold you back. You believed you could do anything and you weren t afraid of anything. I found this article by Carrie Cheadle that explains those fears pretty well. As you get older, those big dreams end up giving way to all of the what-ifs and fears you have. You hold yourself back from dreaming big because you re afraid of what it means if you fail. What will people think when I tell them my big goal? Will they laugh at me? Think it s ridiculous? What if they don t believe in me? And what if I tell people and then fall flat on my face? What will people think? What if I can t do it? THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 3

We decide to remain right where we are because not knowing whether or not we could have accomplished that big goal is emotionally safer than trying and failing. (Cheadle, 2013) So, here s the deal. From now on, FEAR is a four-letter word, literally and figuratively. How do you do this? To even begin, you really have to start with looking at those fears and determine what you actually are afraid of. If you are afraid of something, you probably don t want to spend so much time thinking about it, so why do you need to take these steps to understand your fears? These are the things standing in your way, and once you face them, you can remove them from your life. That s why it is so important to take the time and actually identify your deepest fears about yourself. Identifying Your Deep Fears There are plenty of different fears out there. Some of them dwell on the surface. For example, you may know that you are afraid of spiders or heights. You may be aware of some things that make you fearful, but those aren t the things we are talking about. Instead, we want to get down to the root of your deep fears. These are the ones you may not even be consciously aware of. To begin recognizing them, consider the following statements and decide whether or not they apply to you. Somewhere within you, you know that you are meant to do so much more than you currently are, but for some reason, you aren t reaching those things. You know you want to move forward with your life, but something is holding you back and you have no idea what it is. THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 4

Whenever you try to move forward, you are confused about what to do and so you stay still. You feel like life is passing you by. You are certain you are holding yourself back from moving forward and you feel very uncomfortable with stopping that practice. You sense that you are afraid of failing, but you don t know how to overcome it. Can you identify with these statements? Probably so, and that s why you are reading this book. The reason that some or all of these statements are true for you is that you are fearful. Those deep fears are keeping you from becoming all you could be and elevating your mind. So, with those things in mind, try coming up with three to five fears you have. Again, I am not talking about a fear of walking under a ladder or of getting near a bee. These five fears should be deep things that are holding you back. If you need some ideas, here are the deep fears many people experience: A fear of failure if they try something big and it doesn t work out. A fear of being ridiculed for attempting something bigger. A fear of doing something wrong and making the wrong choices. A fear that the responsibility will be more than you can handle. A fear that you aren t as good as you thought you were. THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 5

Now, stop a minute and start writing down your deep fears. Try to list at least three of them and it s best if you can come up with five. Okay, so you have a list of fears. great, you think (probably with some sarcasm in your voice), now what am I supposed to do? That s a good question and it s one we will answer next. Let s talk about getting rid of those fears so they no longer hold you back from your dreams, wants, and goals. Fears have been blocking your mind up until now, but once you rid yourself of them, you can start elevating your mind to something much bigger and better. Getting Rid of Fears There are a few steps you need to take so that you can get rid of those fears and accomplish so much more. That four-letter word will no longer hold you back! Here are the steps you need to take. Step One The first step is to understand that everyone, and I mean everyone, is afraid of something in this life. That s why there are specific names for intense fears. They are called phobias for good reason, like: agoraphobia (fear of crowds in open spaces), atelophobia (fear of imperfection), and atychiphobia (fear of failure). There are millions of phobias and they are real things. You are NOT alone. Step Two The next step is understanding that it will take time for you to overcome your deeply rooted fears. Don t expect a miracle to happen all at once. It won t work that way. Think about how you learned to drive a car. No one just put you in the driver s seat and said go for it. Instead, you took lessons or had a parent teach you. You will need to take that type of time to overcome your fears as well. THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 6

Step Three The third step is to understand that every fear offers an opportunity. You already know that your fears are holding you back, and that means you have a want for something better. When you look at the benefits you will gain from overcoming your deeply rooted fears, you will have another reason to work through them. Answer these questions about your deep fears: What benefits would you gain if you were able to overcome your fears? How different would your life be if you didn t have these deep fears holding you back? Think about ways that your fears bind you or hold you down. What would you be free of if you gave up your fears? What do you have to lose? By answering these questions, you should give yourself a healthy dose of motivation so that you can move on through the process. Step Four Think about how you talk to yourself. You probably have gotten very good at convincing yourself the fear is an okay thing or that you aren t capable of getting past it. It s time to change the conversations you have with yourself. You can no longer give your deep fears any validity. To really overcome your fears, you have to stop all of the negative talk. Instead, focus only on the positives, and that doesn t just apply to when you talk to THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 7

others. You need to maintain a positive attitude even when you are talking with yourself. So, here is a little exercise to try: When you think about your fears right now, you probably think of all the negatives. Try something different the next time you think about your fears. Focus on the positives. For example, if you are afraid you will be laughed at for trying something new, stop thinking about other people. Think of how proud you will feel because you did try something. Step Five The final step in overcoming your deep fears is coming to terms with failure. You will fail. Everyone does. It isn t the end of the world. I promise this. So many people are so paralyzed by a fear of failure that they are never capable of going after the things they want. Let s look at a success story that included a measure of failure. Ludwig van Beethoven His early skills at music and the violin were decidedly less impressive. His teachers thought him hopeless. It was his father who saw potential in him and took over his education. Beethoven slowly lost his hearing throughout his life, and yet four of his greatest works were composed when he was completely deaf. (Horton) Beethoven could have considered his teachers scoffing him as a failure. Even as a kid, with the help of his father, he didn t give up. He could have considered losing his hearing as a failure. Still, he didn t give up. No matter what, he kept going and has become one of the most famous composers in history because of it. If Beethoven did it, then what is stopping you? THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 8

Throwing Out Excuses I have some questions for you. How many times have you thought, or said, any of the following phrases (or something similar to them. Don t get all nitpicky and think just because you didn t say the exact words, it doesn t apply to you) in your life? I just don t have the skills to be a leader. I never have time to exercise. I work all the time, so I never have the option to meet new people. It s harder to take up that hobby than I thought! Okay, be honest. Have you thought those things? Have you said them to someone? If you have, then you are making excuses for your fears. Something you are afraid of is holding you back and instead of recognizing this, you make up a reason why you can t move forward. It s time to start throwing out those excuses! So, here is a step-by-step process so that you can get rid of the excuses and start taking action in your life now. Start by having a conversation with yourself. Yes, go to the mirror and look in your eyes. Tell yourself that you won t be blaming anything else for your inactivity anymore. Accept responsibility and then make a promise to yourself to stop the excuses right now. Know the most common excuses you use. Have you ever heard the old phrase, know thy enemy? Remember that those excuses are your enemy, so learn them. When you know what your common excuses are, you can completely ignore them and they won t have power over your life anymore. THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 9

For example, if you have wanted to lose weight for a very long time and you keep using the same excuses about not having time over and over again, then remember that excuse and completely ignore it the next time it tries to come up in your mind. If you really want to, then you can rationalize yourself out of anything. You can always find a logical reason why you shouldn t do something. However, those rationalizations are only supporting the excuses you make. It s all a big circle that s holding you back from elevating your mind. Stop caring so much about others. Probably the main reason why you keep making excuses is fear, like we talked about earlier. You probably are afraid of failure or of other people ridiculing you for trying and making a mistake. It s time to just stop caring. Everyone fails. It s part of life. So, one of the biggest steps you can take to overcome your fears and move forward is to quit using excuses. Tossing Your Limited Beliefs The next thing you have to do is stop limiting yourself. It s so easy to think, well, this is just the best I can do. That s not true, though! In fact, the one thing that is limiting you is yourself, not anyone or anything else. If you have the limited beliefs, then you will be limited by them. So, you have to fully understand that you are capable of literally anything you want to accomplish. From now on, your goal is to recognize each of the limited beliefs getting in your way and then make yourself think in a different manner. Here are some examples of thoughts you can replace your limited beliefs with: THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 10

Limited Belief I can t lose weight. I have tried, but it didn t work. I am just overweight. I can t get a promotion because I just really don t have the influence needed to get attention from the bosses. I am not that great of a catch. I can only hope that someone will find me and care about me. I am just not smart enough to learn a new language even though I would love to speak French. But, I don t know how to do that kind of project. Unlimited Truth No matter what, if I work hard, eat healthy, and talk with a doctor about health conditions, then I can get physically fit. If I make sure I am doing a good job, then I can get the best promotion I have always wanted. It s just a matter of time. I am a good, unique, wonderful person. I deserve love like everyone does, and I will find it with the right partner for me. When I set my mind to it, I can accomplish anything. I don t currently know how, but I can learn! Take some time and write down any limited beliefs you have been holding. Then, write down an unlimited truth beside it. It s time to let go of those beliefs and hold on to the truths that you can do whatever you want if you set your mind to it. Anytime you feel yourself starting to believe those limitations, remind you that your mind and spirit are truly unlimited. It s all about tapping into the power within you and seeing clearly what you want in life. THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 11

Recognizing Why You Haven t Succeeded So Far Here s what may be going on in your mind right now: Okay, that sounds all great, but no matter how many positive thoughts I think, I still am not succeeding in life. What gives? It s time to recognize what may be holding you back. You may think positive thoughts, but are you clear on what you want in life? Are you working toward your goals or just spinning your wheels? There are a few different things that could be keeping you from succeeding so far. These two are just some of them. Additionally, you may be setting limitations on yourself without even realizing it. Anyone, and I mean anyone, can limit themselves without even realizing it. You may be making excuses in your mind even if you never say them aloud. So, here is what you must remember. Why haven t you succeeded so far? You are holding yourself back and that s all! When you learn how to open yourself up to the unlimited truths, you can accomplish all the things you want in life. Your Lesson We covered a lot of ground in this chapter: fears, excuses, limitations, unrealized dreams, wants, and hopes. Before we can move on to anything else, we need to stop for a moment and review. It s time to take another diagnostic of yourself. Just like in the last chapter, you need to rate the following statements on a scale of one to 10 with 10 being the most true and one being the least true. You have recognized your deeply rooted fears and singled out the ones that are holding you back or paralyzing you. THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 12

You know what excuses you keep going to as a reason why you haven t moved forward. You are ready to throw out those excuses. You have come to terms with the fact that the limitations you put on yourself are not true and you are ready to recognize your unlimited truths. You know now that fears do not have to hold you back, and the only thing keeping you from success is yourself. How do you feel after going through these diagnostics? Hopefully, you feel much freer than you did before you read this chapter. Fears and limitations don t have to control you. Excuses don t have to be your way out. When you get past these things, you will be ready to elevate your mind and move forward. THE FEAR ELIMINATOR 13
