Then you will add borders and pin baste the top, batting and backing together. Finally you will machine quilt the piece and bind the edges. The delicate bonnet is created with a Swiss edging joined together at the scallops to create a precious peek-a-boo band. The inner lining peeks through the insertion, while entredeux and gathered lace edge the bonnet border to give the design just enough girly frill. Ribbons attach at corners and embellish the bonnet as ties. The pattern includes newborn to 24 months. This is a perfect small project to learn or perfect some basic heirloom sewing techniques.
