FEATURES LED Display to Monitor Running Conditions PhotoCoupler Insulated Snapin Installation Terminal BlockType 4bit (/6,84) or 6bit (/65,55) Resolution 4 or 8 Channels Voltage or DESCRIPTION PLCAIOCMAD Series CIMON s AnalogtoDigital (ADC) I/O Modules are offered in 4 or 8 analog channels, allowing for extreme flexibility in a number of different applications. The CM ADC module offers you a 4bit analog to digital converter with the option of upgrading to a 6bit analog to digital unit. The 6bit analog to digital converter has a much higher resolution and processes inputs at a much higher frequency. The CM analog modules are capable of reading both voltages and currents. Voltage inputs can range from 0 to +0 VDC and current values can range from 0 to 0 ma. One of the analog modules comes with both analog to digital conversion as well as digital to analog conversion on one unit. These modules are ideal for use with Anaheim Automation s Brushless Drivers, which utilizes a 05 VDC signal for speed control. With the CM analog units you can select different ranges to best fit your application needs. Item Specification Reference Op. PLCAIOCMAD Series In the case of an error, the following error codes are stored in buffer memory location, offset 9. The LED will begin to blink at an interval of 0. seconds. You can also view the error code through the AD Module dialog box: Tool Special Module Setup AD Module Status ERROR CODES To clear an error code, select the Error Code Reset button in the AD Card Setup dialog box. *Error Codes pertain to the AD Module Error Code Descirption Range of the analog input is setup wrong Setup for current in the AD08V or voltage for the AD08I Average process time is out of range Number of average process times is out of range 4 Offset value is greater than a gain value 0 System error (A/S required) 49 Offset channels and gain channels are calibrated at the same time SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Note: The following safety precautions should be considered during the installation and operation of the PLCAIOCMAD series module. Use proper cables for DC and AC voltages to prevent influence of surge or induction noise. Select a cable considering ambient temperature/allowable current. 8 AWG or more is recommended. Wiring located close to a heatgenerating device or material, and/or direct contact with oil for long periods may cause a short circuit, breakdown, or malfunction. Operating near a highvoltage line or power line may cause a malfunction or breakdown due to an induction jam. Design is recommended to be wired 00mm from a highvoltage line. 90 East Orangefair Ln.
