DIRECT THERMAL manufacturing stages Applications Ricoh Industrie France has achieved its technological expertise and leadership through paper production know-how dedicated to top thermal media: 1. Baths preparation. 2. Coating of the different chemicals coats on the base paper/film to give it its thermo-sensitive properties. 3. Calendering of the paper surface. 4. Cutting of the mother rolls into several lengths according to markets and customers needs. 5. Shipment of the rolls/jumbos to the laminator or the print houses. Then, Ricoh Industrie France slits these Jumbo rolls into lengths and sizes that fit markets, customers and printers requirements. Thermal transfer ribbon is mainly used in industrial fields, but it also offers several other possibilities: Multipurpose labels, electronic devices identification, drum labeling, automotive parts identification, direct coding, direct food contact, tags, clothe care labels, etc. Ricoh proposes high performances thermal transfer ribbons.
