Some key questions: How do we meet current and future wireless audio needs with 40% less capacity? What products will or won t work (or be legal)? Who pays for the transition? When will pre-dividend products (those operating in the 695-820MHz range) be withdrawn from sale in Australia? What will the change cost me or my organisation? Will the transition be managed?

What products will or won t work (or be legal)? Come 1 January 2015 any product transmitting in the frequencies above 694MHz is likely to be illegal (and therefore not to be used) About 150,000 devices nationally with a replacement value of more than $260 million Product operating below 694MHz may also be affected depending on where TV stations are located following the restack. The ability to use these products is a practical one not a legal one.

Restack planning (ACMA) Block allocations are shown for most TV coverage areas. Some locations will have very little open (white) space to support wireless microphones. Chart must be read with attention to all notes and consideration to local terrain.
