INTRODUCTION LETTER Anime, the global medium. Dear fellow fans of anime, Anime is one of the fastest growing industries with the most dedicated fanbase - an incredible source of community power. We are Flying Colors Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that inspires change through dialogue by connecting Western fans with the anime industry in Japan. ABOUT US & INDUSTRY A voice for the international anime community. We believe everyone deserves an opportunity to share their voice and a chance to be heard. The anime audience welcomes new members every day. Their preferences, desires, and passions fuel the growth of anime. According to the Anime Industry Report 2017 by AJA: The anime market size has been growing for 7 consecutive years hitting $18.2 billion in 2016 In 2016, there was a 31% increase in overseas revenue which made up 38% of total anime revenue. A record number of anime, 356 series, has been produced in 2016

OUR IMPACT The largest anime survey in history. This was just the start, and it was way over 9,000. We partnered with Joey (The Anime Man) to organize The Top 100 Anime of All Time. Within two weeks, we collected responses from 132,000+ fans all over the world. Our results were viewed over 650,000 times. The largest anime survey in history was done with only one influencer. What if we did another survey with at least five more influencers? What can the community accomplish together?
THE ANIME CENSUS 2018 The largest anime survey in history...again. We believe The Anime Census will be one of the largest independent survey that will be done this year in any industry by any organization. We'll be gathering demographic data from the anime community to help the industry understand who likes anime, how they like their anime, and why they like anime. The Anime Census will be held on an annual basis to provide longitudinal information about the community. WHO WE HELP Nonprofits, agencies, studios, companies, governments, and communities. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Flying Colors Foundation commits to donating all proceeds to charitable causes and initiatives that improve the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of anime. NPO Animator Supporters Provides subsidized housing for current and aspiring animators. Currently hosts two dozen animators in Japan and provides supplies for artists. Anime for Humanity Focuses on improving mental health and wellbeing in the anime community. Promotes education and awareness of mental health through anime. Hyun s Dojo Online community for aspiring artists to learn how to draw anime. Some graduates from the Dojo are currently employed as animators at studios in Japan.
OUR FUTURE An international family. When there is transparency, familiarity, and trust, we believe that friends can transform into family. Our purpose is to help develop international relationships. We think the first step is letting the voice of the community be heard. Our next projects will focus on partnering with individual agencies, companies, and studios to help them understand their international audience and how to connect with them in meaningful ways. We will continue to conduct surveys and find new opportunities for the anime community to have a voice in the industry.
OUR LAUNCH DATE Flying Colors Foundation is a community project. We take flight on March 15, 2018. Together, we can be a voice for change.
