Fabric VG precoated Gewebe VG vorgrundiert Fabric and Nonwoven 3457 with pigmented pre-priming and high-quality special finish Properties Fabric with pigmented pre-priming and high-quality special finish. Hard-wearing, dimensionally stable, displacement-resistant, highly stable when exposed to moisture, nonswelling, can be coated several times, crack-bridging, and rotresistant. Certified in accordance with Öko-Tex standard 100, product class I in compliance with test verification no. 03.0.8420. Intermediate coat may not be required, depending on the site conditions, the color shade and gloss grade of the chosen coating as well as the exposure of the surface. Depending on coating build-up, the Fabric System offers additional unique advantages: - alcohol-resistant - diffusible - moisture-stable - high mechanical resistance - wet abrasion resistance Class 2 or 1 as per EN 13300 - disinfectant-resistant according to DIN 53 168 - decontaminable as per DIN 25 415 - hardly inflammable B1 as per DIN 4102 - non-combustible A2 as per DIN 4102 Field of application Fabric VG allows a wide range of surface designs thanks to a selection of different VG designs in combination with many different compatible coatings: from smooth and fine to coarse textures, dull matt to glossy, white or colored. from fine, medium and coarse textures up to nonwoven surfaces, dull-matt to glossy, white or color-coated. Fabric VG is ideal for large building projects because of its moisture-proof, pigmented finish. One coat may be sufficient when a white or bright tinted top coat is used. With its smooth, untextured surface, Nonwoven VG is particularly suitable for high-quality, smooth coating build-ups. Additionally, Fabric VG can also be used for creating individual designs using Creative Techniques, e.g. wiping technique with Creativ Viviato 72 or Creativ Classico 50. Can be used in office and private rooms, hotels, restaurants, museums, hospital, schools, nursery schools, etc. Particularly suitable for exposed areas, e.g. entrance areas, hallways, staircases, sanitary areas, lounges. Fabric VG designs Design * Designation Length of roll Weight 2100 VG Grob (coarse) approx. 50 m approx. 170 g/m² 2111 1) VG Fein (fine) approx. 50 m approx. 135 g/m² 2117 VG Objekt grob (object coarse) approx. 25 m approx. 250 g/m² 2118 VG Fischgrät (herringbone pattern) approx. 25 m approx. 195 g/m² 2119 VG Objekt mittel (object medium) approx. 50 m approx. 145 g/m² 2128 VG Doppelkette (double chain) approx. 25 m approx. 190 g/m² * All designs can also be applied with a wallpaper pasting machine. Use only Fabric Adhesive ELF 377 that has been appropriately diluted with water to apply the adhesive using the airless method and to process it with a wallpaper pasting machine. Follow the instructions in Data Sheet 377. 1) The Design 2111 VG Fine may only be glued using Fabric Adhesive ELF 377, diluted approx. 15% with water. Ensure application of the correct quantity of adhesive and distribute it evenly. Use Cutting Cut lengths to size, plus an additional length of 5 10 cm. Note pattern, depending on the selected design (Repeat). fabric covering is subject to continual quality control. Any production defects of the fabric are indicated at the cutting edges and are compensated by adding additional length. These marks shall not give rise to any complaints. When cutting the product to size, always check if the fabric is free from defects. Gluing As required, uniformly apply a sufficient quantity of Fabric Adhesive ELF 377, Roll-on Adhesive ELF 378 or Reinforcement Adhesive 480 across an area of 2 to 3 web widths directly on the substrate. Lay the cut Fabric in the wet adhesive edge to edge and press out any bubbles with the Fabric Wallpaper Smoother 1323. All Fabric VG designs can also be applied using a wallpaper pasting machine. For this method, use Fabric Adhesive ELF 377 and heed the exact application instructions in Data Sheet 377. After pressing the fabric on, you can cut off excessive material at ceilings, skirting, doors, windows, electric sockets, etc. using a sharp knife or a pair of scissors. For precise shaping at outer corners, such as at window and door niches or room corners, we recommend using the Wallpaper Corner Profile 3093 or 3095, rounded, or the Profiled Rail 3094. If no wallpaper corner profiles are used, the fiberglass fabric should be separated at the outer corners, especially if the corners are not perfectly vertical. Only on absolutely vertical corners can the fiberglass fabric be folded around the corners. To achieve this, fold the fiberglass fabric roughly 10 cm around the outer corner to ensure a proper connection with the following fabric strip. To avoid texture differences, never glue on while reversed alternate strips or laterally reversed. Pay attention to the vertical, colored marking stripes on the back side of the fabric (adhesive side) and the diagram on the packaging. The auxiliary marks are completely covered by the subsequent coating. When gluing, it is important to ensure that the horizontal yarn course (weft yarn) matches that of the adjacent yarn in the main visual range (eye level). Otherwise, an undesired zipper effect will arise. Page 2 of 7

Nonwoven VG Designs Design Designation Length of roll Weight 1000 1) VG Nonwoven approx. 50 m approx. 140 g/m² 1001 2) VG Nonwoven Premium approx. 50 m approx. 195 g/m² 1) Can also be applied with a wallpaper pasting machine. Use water-diluted Nonwoven Adhesive ELF 375 or Fabric Adhesive ELF 377 for this purpose. Follow the instructions in the Nonwoven Adhesive ELF 375 and Fabric Adhesive ELF 377 Data Sheets. 2) Due to the special, microporous surface, the Nonwoven VG 1001 Premium will absorb moisture when applied. This material-typical property does not affect the subsequent coating. Use Cutting Cut the nonwoven webs to length plus an additional length of 5 10 cm. Nonwoven VG is subject to continual quality control. Sporadic defects resulting from the production process are compensated by adding additional length to the reel. When cutting the product to size, always check whether a length of nonwoven is free from defects. Gluing Use undiluted Nonwoven Adhesive ELF 375 or approx. 15% water-diluted Fabric Adhesive ELF 377 for gluing the Nonwoven VG to produce particularly smooth, untextured surfaces. We recommend using waterdiluted Fabric Adhesive ELF 377 for bonding Nonwoven VG on surfaces with higher requirements for wet adhesiveness, such as on ceiling surfaces. Apply the adhesive directly to the substrate, 2 to 3 webs wide; apply material uniformly and in a sufficient but not excessive quantity. Place the cut Nonwoven in the wet glue (edge to edge) and press it on using Fabric Wallpaper Smoother 1323, making sure that no bubbles form. To avoid surface differences, never hang the Nonwoven reversed alternate strips or laterally reversed. Nonwoven VG 1000 can also be applied with a wallpapering pasting machine. Nonwoven Adhesive ELF 375 or water-diluted Fabric Adhesive ELF 377 for this purpose. Follow the instructions in the Nonwoven Adhesive ELF 375 and Fabric Adhesive ELF 377 Data Sheets. The untextured Nonwoven VG can also be applied using the so-called doublecut technique. Apply the several lengths with overlap. Then make a new seam by making a cut in the overlapping area using the Utility Knife Mini 1443. To avoid damaging the substrate, do not apply too much pressure. When applying the material to sensitive substrates, e.g. gypsum plasterboard, use a pad when using the double-cut technique or use Wallpapering Draw Cut Knife 1310. After pressing the fabric on, you can cut off excessive material at ceilings, skirting, doors, windows, electric sockets, etc. using a sharp knife or a pair of scissors. For precise shaping on outer corners, such as on window and door niches or room corners, we recommend using the Wallpaper Corner Profile 3093 or 3095, rounded, or the Profiled Rail 3094. If no wallpaper corner profiles are used, the fabric should be separated at the outer corners, especially if the corners are not perfectly vertical. Only on absolutely vertical corners can the fabric be folded around the corners. To achieve this, fold the fabric roughly 10 cm around the outer corner to ensure a proper connection with the following fabric strip. Optional Filling for special surface requirements We recommend filling the entire surface of the nonwoven wall covering with Mineral Hand Applying Light Filler 1886 diluted by approx. 5% on surfaces with a special look or those having especially high surface requirements, e.g., for a metallic effect coating, silk gloss or glossy top coat - or to avoid minor seam markings. Prime the filled surfaces with Lacryl Deep Penetrating Primer ELF 595 before applying an additional coating. Page 3 of 7

Intermediate coat In the case of normal exposure and a white or slightly tinted coating with Fabric Finish ELF matt or silk-matt, one layer is sufficient in many cases. Depending on the color shade, gloss level, exposure of the surface, and the required surface finish, an intermediate coat may be necessary. If disinfectant resistance or decontaminability of the surface is required, in situations with grazing light, as well as in the case of silk-glossy or glossy coating, at least two coats are required. Coating Once the adhesive is dry, Fabric VG must always be coated. The coating work on the entire surface, including in the area in which the trimming work is performed, must always take place wet in wet. In cases of application using airless spraying, the surfaces must be re-rolled with a paint roller to smooth them. Depending on the degree of exposure of the surfaces and the required system properties, the fabric is coated with: - Fabric Finish ELF 3476 dull-matt 3499 silk-matt - Super Latex ELF 3000, dull-matt - Sensocryl ELF 266 dull-matt 267 silk-matt 268 silk-gloss 269 glossy - 2C PU Finish 3471 silk-gloss Application temperature Do not apply if air or object temperature is below +8 C. System build-up Data Sheet cg21 Substrate preparation The Substrate must be even, solid, dry, clean, load-bearing and free from efflorescence, sinter layers, separating agents, corrosion-promoting components or other intermediate layers affecting the adhesion. Check existing coatings for their suitability, load-bearing capacity and adhesive properties. Remove defective and unsuitable coatings thoroughly and dispose of them in accordance with the applicable regulations. Thoroughly wash off limepaint. Wash down intact coats of oil paints and varnishes with an alkaline solution, sand down well and clean. Remove any wall coverings, including any paste or glue residue. Treat replastered areas with a fluorine primer. Fill rough substrates and defective areas, etc. with, e.g., Mineral Hand Applying Light Filler 1886. Apply a prime and/or intermediate coat to the substrate as required. Also see Sections 3 of both VOB Part C, DIN 18363 and 18366. Page 4 of 7

Storage Store reels in upright position at a dry place. Notes Complaints about fabric If you have any complaints, return the batch number indicated on the cardboard packaging and material samples. Complaints cannot be accepted if more than 10 lengths of wallpaper have already been applied. Adhesive application and distribution Take care to apply the correct quantity of adhesive and to distribute it evenly. Applying too much adhesive can result in adhesive clumping and cause disruptions in the surface appearance as well as seam markings due to open seams that arise in the course of drying. Avoid bubble formation If applied to porous substrates, e.g. concrete surfaces in combination with unfavorable drying conditions, wall coverings may not stick to the wall properly. Such partial non-adhesion areas may result in bubble formation, especially on ceiling surfaces or under certain lighting conditions, e.g. glancing light. This can be avoided by full-surface pore-free filling using Mineral Hand Applying Light Filler 1886, for example. Follow the instructions in the respective filler Data Sheets. Structural cracks Structural cracks cannot be covered permanently by gluing on Fabric. Certified system build-up The respective test certificate must be heeded for a certified system build-up.
