Here, over the centuries, tens of thousands of pilgrims have visited to experience healing in the form of what they call miracles. Fatima is famous for the visions people have seen of the Virgin Mary. Many healings of extra-ordinary note have been documented there. Years ago, a very thorough study was conducted to ascertain why some people had been healed while experiencing the vision and others had not.
