Our Background and where it all began Our family business was established in East Africa in 1892 dealing in import, export, wholesale, retail, property development, farming and industry. Karimbhai Jafferji Tapya then opened his own business and started to manufacture furniture in 1965. This is where our family s passion for furniture began and has now run through four generations, with establishments in the UAE and Tanzania.
