Backing Fabric 4 yards Cut and piece to fit quilt top, with 4" overlap on all sides. 3610-N 5/8 yard Brown Narrow Stripe (Binding) Cut (7) 2-1/2" x width of fabric strips Quilt finishes approx. 63-1/2" x 63-1/2" Block Assembly 1. Referring to Diagram 1, draw diagonal line on wrong side of cream/blue vine 2" square. Place on tan texture 2" x 3-1/2" rectangle, right sides together and raw edges aligned. Stitch together on marked line. Trim and press open to make pieced rectangle. 36. In same manner, make 35 pieced rectangles using cream/blue vine squares and gray texture rectangles. 35 additional pieced rectangles using cream/blue vine squares and brown narrow stripe rectangles. 2" 2. Using draw, stitch, and trim method from Step 1, stitch tan texture and cream/blue vine 2" squares to gold net 2" x 5" strip to make pieced strip (Diagram 2). 36. Repeat, using gray texture and cream/blue 2" squares and teal texture 2" x 5" strip. 35. In same manner, use brown narrow stripe and cream/blue 2" squares and rust texture 2" x 5" strips. Assembling the Quilt 4. Referring closely to Diagram 4, stitch 4 block rows of 10 blocks each and 6 block rows of 11 blocks each. Note: Rows are positioned so that pieced strip inner seam on upper row is aligned with pieced strip outer seam on lower row. Sew block rows together in staggered fashion so that 1st row, 4th row, 7th row, and 10th row are aligned and remaining rows are positioned as shown. 5. Trim quilt center as shown, leaving 1st row, 4th row, 7th row, and 10th row untrimmed. 6. Stitch gold net 1-1/2" x 52" strips to sides; trim even with top and bottom. Sew remaining gold net strips to top and bottom; trim even with sides. Stitch brown tumbling block 54" strips to sides; trim even with top/bottom. Sew remaining tumbling block strips to top/bottom; trim even. Finishing the Quilt 7. Layer quilt with batting and backing. Quilt as desired. Bind quilt with 3610-N brown narrow stripe to finish the quilt.
