Wilson Senior Counsel Atlanta 191 Peachtree Street NE Suite 3800 Atlanta, Georgia 30303 cwilson@merchantgould.com D 404.954.5087 Clark Wilson, an attorney in the Atlanta office, is interested in achieving the best business solution when working with a client to develop a strategy. Whether it is offensive or defensive, guiding the client to an outcome of continued forward progress is his ultimate goal. Clark s practice includes patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate and noninfringement counselling, license negotiation and patent litigation support. Through his counselling, Clark has gained experience with both utility and design patents. He also provides trademark prosecution, trademark litigation support and cancellation and opposition proceedings at the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeals Board (TTAB). Clark has obtained the Board Certified Expert designation in intellectual property by the Florida Bar Association. Throughout his career, Clark has worked with a variety of technologies from a mix of industries. Example industries include medical devices, firearms and shooting sports, construction equipment and materials, consumer chemicals, cable management and connection equipment software. Practices Mechanical Post Grant Proceedings Trademark IP Due Diligence Industries Manufacturing Medical Devices Consumer Products Shooting Sports Building Systems & Construction Automotive & Powersports While working with medical device innovators as both in-house and outside patent counsel, Clark obtained particular experience working on technologies including the following: ophthalmic lenses, surgical implant devices, medical feeding equipment, diagnostic equipment, orthopedic equipment, software, and dental inspection and surgical equipment. He is also a Guest Faculty member of the Master of Biomedical Innovation & Design program at Georgia Tech. In addition, he is Team Leader in the Industry Committee of the Biomedical Engineering Society. Clark is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgia State University College of Law, where he teaches an annual course in International IP Law. He is also a past Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association IP section and a current Executive Board Member of the State of Georgia IP Section. In Clark s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, attending and watching soccer and football games, and keeping up to date on current affairs. As an Eagle Scout, his Eagle project involved planting 300 trees on a barren hill along a highway in Fairfax, Virginia. Those trees are still growing 20 years later.
