Care and maintenance of lacquered wood floor General instructions We recommend using good quality entrance mats at all exterior doors to prevent dirt and grit entering your home. Avoid water on lacquered floor; in case of spillage, wipe away as soon as possible. When a new lacquered floor is ready for use? Wait at least 12 hours after the final lacquer coat before allowing light traffic on the floor. Lightweight furniture can be placed on the floor 24 48 h after lacquering. Use pads under furniture legs to avoid scratching. Rugs and carpets can be laid on the floor approx. a week after lacquering. Cleaning and care Create a daily cleaning routine and remove all visible stains, sand and mud regularly. Vacuuming with a soft nozzle helps you to remove the dry dirt that could scratch the floor surface. Wipe the floor with a well-wrung mop, and use a drop of neutral cleaner, if needed. Do not use wet cleaning methods for wood floors. Use Kiilto Parquet Lacquer Fix refresher for minor scratches and scuffs. Note that Kiilto Parquet Lacquer Fix comes in two different glosses, so consider beforehand which one is suitable for your floor (semi-matt 20, semi-gloss ).
