5 Control & Automation @ iit delhi The Control & Automation group has been an integral part of the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi. Our mission is to promote cutting edge research and innovation in the field of control engineering. With equal focus on theoretical knowledge as well as practical exposure through laboratory experiments, students guide their own way through knowledge gained from various research papers, projects which are integrated part of their course work. Students have access to a well equipped laboratory with several experimental setups, networked PCs and workstations with several software packages, a pilot plant for real time computer control experiments and robots. Various professors of this branch are renowned for their industrial experience as well as academic excellence, and they continuously keep themselves busy in publishing papers in various reputed journals and magazines. They also work in various interesting topics related to industry application and research problems which in turn gives the students an opportunity to work on the current issues pertaining to this field.

Placement Brochure PEEMD @ IIT DELHI Founded in 1990s, the Power Electronics, Electrical Machines and Drives(PEEMD) group is an integral part of the Electrical Engineering Department at IIT Delhi. Progress in electrical engineering has been crossing benchmarks over decades now, however, with the ever increased demand for clean, sustainable and cheaper energy, efficient power conversion has become a major focus of research worldwide. Here at IIT Delhi, the research group for PEEMD is committed in doing its bit towards an energy efficient future. The group provides extensive research facilities including well-equipped laboratories with latest state of art equipment. Faculty is actively involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level through courses covering latest trends in Power Electronics, Electric Machines and Drives, providing hands on laboratory experience. The group has several faculty members with diverse research interests including Power Electronic Converters, Adjustable Speed Drives, Renewable Energy Resources, Power Quality, Modelling and Control of Power Electronic Systems and Motor Control. The faculty members have been awarded a number of international and national awards, and constitute editorial boards of leading journals and programme committees of several conferences worldwide. The group has research collaboration with several industries, power utilities and R&D organizations in India and abroad.

16 Computer technology @ iit delhi Computer Technology at IIT Delhi was started in 1976. It was one of the earliest courses in the branch of Computer Science offered in India when computers were in their early age of development. This was much before the establishment of a separate Computer Science & Engineering department in IIT Delhi. The Computer Technology Group pursues research in broad areas of Computer Networking, Sensor Networks, Embedded Systems, Parallel and Distributed Processing, Big Data Analysis, CAD for VLSI, Computer Vision and Image Analysis, Biometrics, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Neural Networks, Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing, Multimedia Systems, Graph Theory, Systems Biology, Bioinformatics, and Music and Audio Processing. The group comprises of faculty members, and PhD, M.S.(Research), M.Tech and Dual Degree students. We have a set of state-of-the-art set of Masters-level and above courses in Computer Science and Engineering, in five streams: Cognitive and Intelligent Systems, Embedded Intelligent Systems, Computer Communication and Networks, Multimedia Information Processing, and Internet Technologies.

19 Power Systems@ iit delhi Power Systems at IIT Delhi has been one of the most prominent groups in this field in India. Since its inception, the group has been actively involved in research and development with numerous publications, patents and tape-outs to its credit. The Power Group consists of distinguished faculty in this field renowned for their contributions through papers published in reputed journals and conference proceedings, book publications, guest lectures at various universities and international awards. Many of them are associated with the editorial boards of the leading journals and have consistently been part of the program committees of international conferences in the Power Systems domain. The professors also work very closely with many of the leading industries and research institutes in the country and work on research problems in collaboration with these organization. The PhD and M.Tech students of Power Group are chosen from a narrowed down list of bright young students from all over India. 22 Companies that wish to participate in the recruitment at IIT Delhi will be required to indicate the profile, preferred skill set and approximate Cost To Company (http://tnp.iitd.ac.in/). Based on this information, all the participating companies will be given slots beginning from Dec 1st. Companies can choose to give a pre-placement presentation, based on which students will opt for a company of their choice. Companies will then be allowed to shortlist from the resumes of the interested students and conduct tests and interviews for these students. The procedure is left to the company s choice. All facilities and logistics for the recruitment will be arranged by the students here at IIT Delhi. Please refer attached letter for complete procedure.
