about THE WORKSHOP LEADERS SARAH DUBBELDAM DARLING MAGAZINE FOUNDER & EDITOR-IN-CHIEF Sarah is the owner, Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director of Darling Magazine. She has a BA in Studio Art and over seven years of experience in front of the camera as a professional model and actress. With a passion to broaden the idea of beauty and the way women are represented and spoken to in media, she founded Darling and has now brought her extensive knowledge of photo shoots to the flip-side of the camera. She has done creative direction for over 350 photo shoots and has a passion for creating captivating, original imagery that is free of retouching and captures the essence of the human spirit.
about THE WORKSHOP LEADERS REBEKAH SHANNON DARLING MAGAZINE PHOTO EDITOR & PRODUCER Rebekah is the Photo Editor and Producer of Darling Magazine. She graduated with a BA in Advertising from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. She has 10 years experience in retouching and digital imaging and seven years experience in producing high-end editorial photo shoots and advertising campaigns. Some of her clients have included i-d, Italian Elle, Russian Elle, Cosmo Latina, French Marie Claire, Esquire and Guess and she has worked with celebrity talent including Gisele Bundchen, Cindy Crawford, Kiersten Dunst, Kristen Bell, Olivia Wilde, Enrique Iglesias, Nicole Richie and Olivia Munn. Rebekah has also worked with photographers such as Cedric Buchet, Dusan Reljin, Matt Jones, Michael Evanet, Kayt Jones and Drew Jarrett. *Note: Rebekah will also be choosing two of Darling s active contributing photographers to come lead daily shooting sessions as well. Two models from top agencies in Los Angeles will also be joining as subjects for photography.

the WORKSHOPS CONCEPTUALIZING YOUR PHOTO SHOOT Sarah Dubbeldam will teach about choosing color schemes and making creative direction boards that include styling, hair, makeup and set design PRE-PRODUCTION AND BUILDING A TEAM Rebekah Shannon will teach about choosing models, glam team, stylists, props & locations, permits, legal rules, call sheets and building relationships with agencies BASICS OF SHOOTING MODELS Working with a Darling Contributing Photographer and two professional live models, you will learn the basics of shooting fashion and directing models angles, lighting, choosing lenses, posing, awareness of backgrounds and basic rules and when to break them REVIEWING IMAGES Rebekah Shannon and Sarah Dubbeldam will do individual and group reviewing of images, offering constructive critiques and tips SHOOTING PRODUCT AND FOOD Learn from one of the Darling Contributing Photographers about product and food lighting, styling, prop styling and commercial or editorial vs. fine art techniques CHOOSING THE RIGHT IMAGES Rebekah Shannon and Sarah Dubbeldam will teach what is arguably the most important aspect of photography: Editing down images and choosing the strongest photo story POST PRODUCTION AND THE DARLING ART OF NO RETOUCHING Rebekah Shannon will lead a session on post production including Photoshop basics, color and processing and the art of NOT retouching people HOW TO BRAND YOUR STYLE Session with Sarah Dubbeldam on how to brand yourself including your style, logo, website and marketing your work in order to get published
