A few important pointers before you start: Please read the instructions right through before you start, and check that all the components have been included in the pack; we find separating all the hardware into piles makes it easier to be sure that everything is present and correct. Make sure you have the right tools. Allen keys are provided if required, but screw drivers and other tools are not. You ll find details of the tools you need at the beginning of the instructions. It s a good idea to build the unit in the room where you are going to be using it, to avoid the need to move it after it s been assembled. Do not throw away any packing materials until assembly is complete, just in case you accidentally discard smaller parts and hardware. Safety Warnings: Anti-tip furniture straps are recommended for use on the Northcote range. Anti-tip furniture straps (5323) are available from gltc.co.uk. It is recommended that the Northcote modular storage furniture is only stacked 3 units high, inclusive of the base unit..g. 1 x ase unit + 2 x Shelf units Adult assembly required. 2 person assembly recommended. Assembly: ase Unit STP 1: nsure that each cam lock s arrow is pointing towards the drill hole on the side edge of the component. When in position, turn the 3 x cam locks () on the base panel () clockwise to lock in place. Hardware for Step 1: Lay both base panels () on a clean flat surface with the large drill holes facing up. 3x am Dowels 2x Wooden Dowels Insert 2 x cam dowels () and 2 x wooden dowels () into the diagonal edge of the left hand base panel (). The wooden dowels go into the larger holes. Insert 1 x cam dowel () into the diagonal edge of the right hand base panel (). N: Wooden dowels should fit snuggly and push in with your fingers. Do not use force or a hammer as the wood may split. Hardware for Step 2: 3x am Locks STP 2: Push the two base panels () together. Insert 3 x cam locks () into the large drill holes along the edge of the joined components. The arrows should point towards the connecting edge of the base panel (). Turn all of the cam locks () clockwise to lock. 4
Assembly: ase Unit STP 4: Hardware for Step 3: 2x am Dowels 2x Wooden Dowels Slide the thinner back corner bar () onto the hardware on the left hand side, making sure the side groove lines up with that on the base panel (). Also make sure the large drill hole is facing backwards. Repeat the process with the wider back corner bar (), placing it on the right hand side, lining up the grooves and ensuring the large drill hole is facing backwards. Thin Part Wide Part Hardware for Step 5: 2x am Locks Thin Part Wide Part STP 5: Insert 2 x cam locks into the large drill holes on the back of the back corner bars (), with the arrows facing down and turn clockwise to lock. STP 3: Turn the joined base panel () over. Insert 2 x cam dowels () and 2 x wooden dowels () into the holes at the back point of the base panel () as shown. When in position, turn the 2 x cam locks () clockwise to lock in place. 5

Insert 1 x cam dowel () into the diagonal edge of the right hand top panel (). Hardware for Step 7: 3x am Locks STP 7: Push the two panels () together. Insert 3 x cam locks () into the large drill holes along the edge of the joined components. The arrows should point towards the connecting edge in the top panel. Turn all of the cam locks () clockwise to lock. 6

STP 10: Attach the joined top panel () to the back corner bars (). Insert 2 x cam locks into the two remaining large drill holes on the back of the two corner bars (), with the arrows facing towards top panel () and turn clockwise to lock. 7

Insert 5 x cam locks into large drill holes. There are two on the base panel (), two inside the top panel () and one on the inside of the front bar (F). Turn all these clockwise to lock. Turn the cam locks () on the back of panels, & F clockwise to lock in place. 9

Hardware for Step 19: A 5x am Locks STP 19: Place the right side panel (A) onto the top, base and front bar panels (, & F) as shown, making sure the groove lines up with the back panel and the teeth are facing upwards. Insert 5 x cam locks into large drill holes. There are two on the base panel (F), two inside on the top panel () and one on the inside of the front bar (F). Turn all these clockwise to lock. STP 20: Turn the unit upright your base unit is now ready 10

Insert 2 x cam dowels () and 2 x wooden dowels () into the diagonal edge of the left hand base panel () and 1 x cam dowel () into the diagonal edge of the right hand base panel () as shown. STP 22: Push the two base panels () together. Insert 3 x cam locks () into the large drill holes along the edge of the joined components. The arrows should point toward the connecting edge in the base panel. Turn all of the cam locks () clockwise to lock. 11
Assembly: Top Shelf Unit Hardware for Step 23: Hardware for Step 24: 2x am Dowels 2x Wooden Dowels 1x am Locks H shorter H longer H longer STP 23: Insert one cam dowel () and one wooden dowel () into the end of the longer back bar (H). STP 24: Attach the shorter back bar (H) onto the longer back bar (H) using the hardware just inserted. Insert 1x cam bolt () into the large drill hole at the corner, making sure the arrow is pointing towards the corner. Then turn the cambolt clockwise to tighten. 12

Insert 2 x wooden dowels () into the holes at the back point of the base panel (). I left H STP 26: Attach the back bar (H) onto the base panel () by guiding the holes onto the wooden dowels. STP 27: Insert 3 x cam dowels () and 3 x wooden dowels () into the left side panel (I). Insert the wooden dowels into the large drill holes. 13
Assembly: Top Shelf Unit Hardware for Step 28: Hardware for Step 29: 3x am Locks 3x am Dowels H 3x Wooden Dowels I left I right nsure that each cam lock s arrow is pointing towards the drill hole on the side edge of the component. When in position, turn the 3 x cam locks () on the panels & H clockwise to lock in place. STP 28: Place the left hand side panel (I) onto the shelf guiding the hardware into the drilled holes, making sure that the two teeth of the panel are facing downwards. Insert 2 x cam locks () into the base panel () with the arrows facing towards the side panel (I). Insert 1 x cam lock () into the back of the back panel (H), with the arrow facing the side panel. Turn all three cam locks clockwise to lock. STP 29: Insert 3 x cam dowels () and 3 x wooden dowels () into the right side panel (I). Insert the wooden dowels into the large drill holes. 14
Assembly: Top Shelf Unit Hardware for Step 30: two-person job 3x am Locks H I right STP 30: Place the right hand side panel (I) onto the shelf guiding the hardware into the drill holes, making sure that the two teeth of the panel are facing downwards. Insert 2 x cam locks () into the base panel () with the arrows facing towards the side panel (I). Insert 1 x cam lock () into the back of the back panel (H), with the arrow facing the side panel. Turn all three cam locks clockwide to lock. STP 31: Turn your shelf upright and slot it onto your base unit. 15 oth pieces can now be used together.
