Start Planning Your Kitchen! In order for us to start the kitchen design process, we need to know what the available space is for your new kitchen. Please take the time to read through the steps below, complete the info and send it to us and we ll take it from there. You will be pleased with our turnaround time, and more pleased with our price. Step 1: You re going to create a sketch with measurements of your kitchen. We have included a blank grid sheet to assist you. When measuring your kitchen, follow these steps (shown in Diagram A ): 1. Measure your kitchen space and mark it on the grid supplied.. Indicate all breaks in the wall such as doors, windows, etc. Show measurements from the corners.. Indicate all permanent appliances, plumbing, vents and electrical. Plumbing & electrical can be moved to fit a new layout. 4. Measure the distance from floor to ceiling and note any soffits or duct work that would interfere with cabinet installation. 5. Take pictures of your kitchen to bring them to one of our stores nearest you, or email them to us.
