CH88 I DINING CHAIR The CH88 chair, designed in 1955, illustrates Hans J. Wegner s understanding of the potential and compatibility of various materials. The fusion of organic wood and industrial steel produces a versatile chair suited to diverse styles and settings. A steam bent wooden backrest supports the back, while slight curvatures at the ends provide a natural resting place for the arms. The steel frame with straight back legs supports an oval-shaped wooden seat. The chair is stackable up to four. CH33 I DINING CHAIR The CH33, designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1957, is a modern dining chair offering great comfort and stability. Despite clear design references to the simple lines of the 1950s and 1960s, the CH33 appears contemporary and versatile. The ability to mix and match woods on the seat and frame of the chair creates exciting design possibilities. CH20 I ELBOW CHAIR Simple and versatile, yet so complicated to construct that it took 49 years for Hans J. Wegner s CH20 to come into production. Designed in 1956 and known as the Elbow Chair, Wegner s design enables a variety of seating positions and provides comfortable support for the arms. The characteristic rounded backrest is steam bent and crafted from a single piece of solid wood, while the unique seat base, which seems to float above the legs, provides exceptional stability.
CH07 I SHELL CHAIR The floating lightness of the CH07 Shell Chair is achieved through the wing-like lines and arching curves of the tapered legs. Designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1963, the chair s bold avant-garde design was re-introduced in 1998, winning broad public appeal and several design awards. The three-legged construction provides great stability while the upholstered, slightly bent seat offers generous comfort. CH445 I WING CHAIR A sculpted and exceptionally comfortable chair that is upholstered around a solid beech wood frame. One of Wegner s most celebrated works it is also known under the Wing Chair moniker. Of particular interest are the back and upholstered arms unusual shape. Plus, the backrest s characteristic cross seam means that you automatically, and quite naturally, adopt a comfortable position when sitting in the chair. The chair is available upholstered in fabric or leather. The legs are made from stainless steel. Designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1960, the chair is available with the CH446 footrest. CH468 OCULUS CHAIR The CH468 Oculus Chair was designed in 1960, but not put into production until 2010, when Carl Hansen & Søn launched the chair based on Hans J. Wegner s original design. Oculus, Latin for eye, refers to the chair s curved back which forms an eye in the upholstery. The round, roomy upholstered back and large armrests embrace the sitter and provides great comfort for relaxing.

EDELMAN LEATHER Edelman Leather has been the leading supplier of fine leather for the luxury design market since the 1960s. Husband and wife, Arthur and Teddy Edelman created works of art from exotic skins, transforming the family business in the 1950s. In 1964, their friend Andy Warhol took over the brand s graphic identity. Edelman Leather quickly became known for unlocking leather s endless possibilities by blending time-honored craftsmanship with bold artistic vision. HANS J. WEGNER Hans J. Wegner is widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of Danish modernism and minimalist furniture design. Wegner s enduring love of quality craftsmanship and constant pursuit of minimalist expression made him a pioneer in a new generation of furniture designers. With dozens of iconic works, Wegner proved time and again that well-conceived design never goes out of fashion. He received numerous design awards throughout his long and distinguished career, and his works have been on display at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York as well as many other exhibition venues. Wegner passed away in January 2007.
