Palm wax is derived from harvested palm fruit. The harvest palm fruit is then refined in palm mills and the seed is removed from the fruit which leaves a soft, fleshy outer-level. This soft outer-level is steamed and pressed to extract palm oil, distilled, and wax is recovered. From start to finish no chemicals are utilized to create palm wax. What is Soy Wax? Soy wax is a processed form of soybean oil created after the soybeans are harvested, cleaned, cracked and hulls are removed. The de-hulled soybeans are formed into flakes and then the oil is extracted from the flakes. As a vegetable wax, soy wax is a 100% renewable and in candle form it burns cleanly and slowly. The majority of soy wax is from American grown soy beans in the Midwest.
