1/8 Product description The Philips ActiLume lighting control system consists of a small, lightweight sensor and controller, designed for easy integration into luminaires. ActiLume is a true Plug and Play solution for open plan (up to 11 luminaires) or cell offices (e.g. 4 luminaires). It is used in a master/slave luminaire concept, easy to use and easy to install. Application brochures are available to help specify and apply the system in an optimal way. Features and benefits ActiLume DALI 15.8 Sensor LRI1653 dimensions in mm 16.4 44.7 30 22.2 Philips ActiLume is a DALI based lighting control system designed for maximum comfort and energy savings up to 75% (in fully automatic mode and when used in combination with Philips HF-Regulator Touch and DALI ballasts). ActiLume is a Plug & Play system; no specific lighting control training is needed. Moreover, the system is supported with simple, dedicated application and installation sheets. The ActiLume system consists out of three state-of-art miniature sensors combined with a controller containing a series of pre-programmed modes. The two most applied modes, cell and open plan offices, can be selected via a single push on the service button. The light sensor is sensitive for visible radiation (matching the human eye) providing automatic savings with daylight depending regulation, without any visible discomfort for the user. The movement detector is very sensitive to human movements and contains a 15 minutes delay to provide optimal functionality whilst maximizing energy saving during absence. Personal control solutions can be created by connecting a mains rated spring-back switch to the controller or by using an infrared remote control unit. In addition ActiLume offers the possibility to select so called comfort modes in line with the EN 12464 indoor lighting norm. These modes can be recalled by using a simple mode selection tool IRT9090. If needed further customization can easily be established by changing the factory settings with the mode selection tool IRT9090. The ActiLume controller contains two DALI outputs. These outputs are pre-programmed (factory setting) as a window and corridor row with a fixed light offset. The system can be extended with 1 or 2 additional movement detectors, LRM8118 and/or LRM8119 to maximize movement coverage. This respectively reduces the number of ballasts per controller to 10 or 9. 2/8 Applications The ActiLume system is designed for indoor use such as office applications, from open plan to cell offices, lobbies or toilets, and from corridor to small meeting rooms. It offers dedicated modes, e.g. for schools, light-lines and direct/indirect lighting concepts. It even contains a specific comfort mode combining maximum energy savings and additional comfort based on a practical EN 12464 solution (mode 4, 5 or 9). Plug & Play control regimes Mode 1: Switching light off when the area is not occupied, saving maximum energy in a cell office situation. Mode 2: Maintaining a (lower) light level when the area is not occupied, avoiding dark areas in an open plan office. To select the user mode 1 and 2. The user mode can be toggled between mode 1 and 2 by means of a short push on the service button (<1 second). After button release the lamp will flash to indicate the selected user mode: 1 flash = User mode 1 (Cell office application) 2 flashes = User mode 2 (Open plan office application) More modes can be recalled by using the IRT9090. 6 m 4 m 4 m 5 m b. Adjust the factory set reference light level. Pressing the service button (>3 seconds) until the lamp gives a light flash (wink) will start the automatic calibration procedure. The light output of the luminaires connected to the window side (DALI 1) is set to 80%. The light output of the luminaires connected to the corridor side (DALI 2) is set to 100%. After 30 seconds the ActiLume controller is saving the actual light level as new reference light level (indicated by a second flash). This 30 seconds time delay is required to have sufficient time to step aside or remove a stepladder. Mounting The sensor has latching rills on the back so it can easily be mounted. It can also be mounted onto a lamp by means of a clip LCA8002 or LCA8003. There is an additional clip, LCA8005, for mounting the sensor in the luminaire housing. To use the LCA8005 clip a hole needs to be cut according to the dimensions as indicated in the figure below. 60 mm Cutout hole when using with clip LCA8005 R0-0.5 mm (4x) 1. When enough daylight enters the room, the amount of artificial light will be automatically reduced and the DALI 2 output (corridor row) is programmed with a light offset of 30%. In other modes (which can be recalled with the IRT9090) ActiLume can use two channels depending the applications functionality. Mains switch By connecting a mains rated springback switch to connect Ls (Line-switched), dimming and switching on/off will be possible according the Touch and Dim functionality (Maximum 1 switch per controller). Switch to be connected to the controller! Remote control It is also possible to use remote control IRT8010, IRT8030, IRT8050 or UID8510. The IRT8010 needs to be pointed to the sensor. The IRT8030, IRT8050 and UID8510 have a X-Y-Z beam direction, making it suitable for wall mounting and table top use. The diameter of the fixation holes should be maximum 4.5 mm. The snap-in pins are designed for a metal thickness of maximum 0.8 mm. The distance between the fixation holes is 78 mm.

5/8 ActiLume Modes Besides the two Plug and Play modes for cell office and open plan office, it is possible to recall 8 other application modes as mentioned below. This makes the ActiLume system very flexible for all different kinds of applications. With the use of the extended IR programming tool IRT9090 all 10 different modes can be selected.. Once selected, the mode can be stored and copied via a point and shoot method. Even when the luminaires are switched off for a longer period, stored parameters are kept. 6/8 LCC1653 Controller The controller from the ActiLume system. The ActiLume system is a plug & play, DALI-based control system which fulfills the basic needs in offices with maximum energy saving options by daylight harvesting and presence detection. LCC1656 Controller Same as the LCC1653, but designed for free floor standing luminaires. When the mains is connected the light switches on (Powerstage On). LRI1653 Sensor The multi sensor from the ActiLume system. IRT9090 Extended IR programming tool Commissioning tool for OccuSwitch DALI (OccuPlus), OccuSwitch, Saber sensors and luminaires with ActiLume. Easy to use and inexpensive tool to adjust the functionality, perform an installation test and/or calibrate light levels. The functionality is depending on the product it is used with. Batteries are included. LRM8119 ActiLume movement extension sensor, luminaire based Compact luminaire based movement detector to be used to expand the detection area for ActiLume and OccuSwitch DALI (OccuPlus) solutions. The sensor is connected to the DALI line from the controller (luminaire) and does not require external power. Mounting height is between 2.5 and 3.5 m. The sensor is connected to the DALI line from the controller (luminaire) and does not require external power. The sensor is suitable for both recessed and surface mounting (in combination with the LRH8100). Mounting height is between 2.5 and 3.5 m. LRH8100 Surface mount adaptor Surface mounting box for the LRM8118 extension sensor. Comes with cut-out holes for most common cable trunking systems. LCA8000 Cover ActiLume multi sensor Cover for the ActiLume multi sensor to obtain the same outer dimensions as the ActiLume MicroLuxSense and the ActiLume 1-10V sensor. LCA8001 Ring for ActiLume sensors Ring around the cover of the ActiLume multisensor + cover, ActiLume luminaire based extension sensor + cover, ActiLume 1-10V sensor or ActiLume MicroLuxSense to fit in the micro-optics of a luminaire. Color of the product is light gray (similar to RAL7035). LCA8002 ActiLume sensor clip for TL5 Clip to be used for ActiLume multisensor, ActiLume luminaire based extension sensor, ActiLume 1-10V sensor and the ActiLume MicroLuxSense. With this clip the sensor can be directly clicked on the TL5 lamp. LCA8003 ActiLume sensor clip for TL-D Clip to be used for ActiLume multisensor, ActiLume luminaire based extension sensor, ActiLume 1-10V sensor and the ActiLume MicroLuxSense. With this clip the sensor can be directly clicked on the TL-D lamp. LCA8004 Cover ActiLume extension sensor Cover for the ActiLume luminaire based extension sensor to obtain the same outer dimensions as the ActiLume MicroLuxSense and the ActiLume 1-10V sensor. LCA8005 ActiLume mounting clip for use in luminaire. Clip to be used for ActiLume multisensor, ActiLume luminaire based extension sensor, ActiLume 1-10V sensor and the ActiLume MicroLuxSense. With this clip the sensor can be mounted in the luminaire housing. Color of the product is light gray (similar to RAL7035) or white (RAL9010).

7/8 IRT8010 Hand-held two-key transmitter Hand-held two-key transmitter, for infrared control of various lighting control systems. ActiLume can also dim the lights (by pressing a button > 0.5 sec). The unit is supplied with batteries. A wall holder is separately available. This transmitter is not designed to be operated from the wall holder. The IR group address section switch is situated in the battery compartment. Color of the product is white (similar to RAL9010).. LRH8010 Wall holder Wall holder for the IRT8010 hand-held two-key transmitter. Color of the product is white (similar to RAL9010). IRT8050 Two-key infrared remote control Two-key infrared remote control transmitter for wall mounting and table-top use. The unit can be used in combination with ActiLume. The actual function of the two large keys can be selected with a dip switch in the battery compartment. A dip switch is also used to select the group address. Batteries are included and the color of the product is white (similar to RAL9010). IRT8030 Four-preset hand-held transmitter Four-preset hand-held transmitter, suitable for infrared control of the ActiLume system specifically when using Mode 8 (Meeting room). It has 4 keys for presets and one key for all off. Keys for individual control and preset programming are located under a hinged cover at the bottom of the transmitter. The group address selector switch is contained in the battery compartment. The unit is supplied complete with wall holder and batteries. Color of the product is white (similar to RAL9010). UID8510 ToBe Touched IR The UID8510 IR user interface panel provides intuitive on/off and dimming functionality. It connects via infrared to the ActiLume system and batteries are included. Color of the product is white (similar to RAL9003)..
