Cut 2 top aprons out of the 1x3s. These boards will be 10 wide. Drill two pocket holes to connect the apron to the table top. Drill 2 pocket holes on each end to connect the apron to the legs of the side frame. Cut 2 bottom aprons out of the 1x3s. These boards will be 10 wide. Drill 2 pocket holes on each end to connect the apron to the legs of the side frame. If you wish to make the shape at the bottom of the 4 apron pieces, now is the time to do that. I started the curve 2 from each end, so as not to conflict with the pocket holes on the end. I extended it only 1 high because the piece is not very high. There is no right or wrong as to the curve, except that all 4 aprons must have the identical curve. To make them the same, draw and cut the curve on one apron. Use that piece as a pattern for the other 3 pieces. Page 2 of 6
Cut 1 bottom shelf from the 1x12. It will be a 10 square. Drill 2 pocket holes on each side. The shelf will be screwed to the bottom rails and the bottom aprons. There are no pocket holes in the top. Page 3 of 6

Add the bottom rail, connecting it to the center stile and the 2 outside stiles. The side frame for your mission style table is complete. Now repeat the process to assemble the other side frame. Lay one of the side frames on a flat surface, and align the bottom apron so that it is the exact same height as the top of the bottom rail. Clamp the apron in place; double-check for square; and drive the pocket hole screws. Align the top apron so that it is flush with the top of the side frame.
